Satou Kazuma was a shut-in otaku with no girlfriend or friends, but after meeting Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin, he gradually adapted to the other world.
When he was first reincarnated into the other world, he was unable to take on quests and spent his days working part-time jobs in civil engineering, but after gaining companions, he has been able to complete quests smoothly.
From the outside, it looks like Satou Kazuma is enjoying adventures with beautiful women of a different kind, but we would like to introduce what Satou Kazuma has been up to.

Kazuma's Profile

Kazuma was a shut-in with no girlfriend or friends. He wore a green tracksuit and likely enjoyed games and anime.

While out for the first time in a while to get a limited-edition game, he spotted a girl about to be hit by a truck. He had to help! That's probably what Kazuma thought.

However, he had simply mistakenly thought he was about to be hit by a truck; in reality, it was a tractor that was approaching, and if Kazuma hadn't pushed the girl, she would not have been injured at all and the tractor would have stopped short. It was all just meddling. As a result, Kazuma died.

Kazuma died of shock, having mistakenly thought he had been hit by a truck. The shock of almost being hit caused him to lose control and suffer a heart attack, and he was laughed at by his family and those who witnessed his operation as he died, making him a truly pathetic protagonist.

Kazuma is reincarnated under the Goddess

After his death, Kazuma is forced to choose a choice by the goddess Aqua.
Start his life over from scratch, go to heaven, or go to another world.
Told that neither starting over from scratch nor heaven is recommended, Kazuma is forced to choose reincarnation into another world.

When Kazuma was told to choose anything he wanted to take with him to the other world, he chose Aqua, who was eating snacks and looking annoyed as she dealt with him, and decided to go on an adventure together. "Now you're my companion!" Kazuma must have thought.

After taking the unprecedented step of taking the goddess with him without choosing his weapon or ability, Kazuma thought that Aqua would make things easier for him from now on, but in fact the goddess was a useless goddess, stupid and with the personality of a typical useless human.

The mission assigned to Kazuma and Aqua was to defeat the Demon King, and thus began this uncertain story of reincarnation in another world.

Kazuma's Difficult Life in Another World

Kazuma finally arrives in the new world of this other world and begins his journey with high spirits. Their first stop was the guild, where they could get a quest arranged.

To register with the guild, Kazuma and Aqua needed money, but they didn't even have that, so a nearby old man who worshipped Aqua's junior goddess kindly lent them the registration fee, and thus they took the first step towards a life of poverty. There's no doubt the receptionist looked at them with either coldness or pity.

Kazuma's incredible potential is revealed

Aside from a fairly high intelligence, his other stats are all average, and while his luck is very high, it's dismissed as unnecessary for an adventurer.
There's no doubt that these are astonishing numbers for an isekai reincarnation story; without his blessed talent and equipment, the other world would simply be a difficult place for former hikikomori Kazuma to live in. This isn't the case in other isekai reincarnation stories, so Kazuma's numbers can be said to be incredible results. But in the opposite sense.

Kazuma's Days of Construction Work

In a typical isekai story, you first defeat local monsters and complete simple quests, then gradually take on more powerful monsters. However, in this town, all the monsters have been hunted down, and there are no quests.
With no quests and no money, Kazuma had only one option.
That's right, part-time jobs.
They work hard, sweating day and night to earn a living, and in the evening they go to a bar for a toast! This is the way they live a life so frugal it's almost unimaginable in other reincarnation stories set in another world.
Days of civil engineering work matched with epic sound effects, days of sleeping on hay in the stables, days of going to the public bath and drinking milk, days of toasting with alcohol to soothe their tired bodies, days of vomiting repeatedly from that alcohol, and enjoying small joys like saving up their daily wages to buy sheets to put on the hay. It's a life that you wouldn't expect in a normal reincarnation story.

Kazuma thought they had long since forgotten about the endless goal of defeating the Demon King, but then he remembered. Their goal was to defeat the Demon King.
And so they finally set out on a subjugation quest.

Kazuma's first kill was a giant toad

They were giant frogs. As novice adventurers, Kazuma and his friends were no match for them, but they managed to defeat both of them with a steady attack, finishing off the toad while Aqua was being consumed.

Having recruited Megumin, an arch wizard and chuunibyou sufferer who uses explosive magic, Kazuma once again challenges the giant toads. He defeats one with explosive magic, and when he tries to ask Megumin to use explosive magic again, he runs out of MP. Kazuma probably thought, "This guy's no good either." While Megumin and Aqua, who have both run out of MP, are being eaten, he finishes them off and successfully defeats all three.

Kazuma officially recruits Megumin into his party

Megumin, covered in frog slime, begs Kazuma not to abandon her, saying she'll do anything for him. As people gather around her, Megumin takes advantage of the situation and threatens to label Kazuma as a pervert. Kazuma quickly recruits her.

Kazuma is hesitant to meet Darkness

Kazuma is intimidated by the blonde, fair-skinned beauty, Darkness, who requests a party, but as they talk, he begins to sense her danger.
Seeing Darkness get excited about it despite Kazuma's warning that she would be preyed upon, Kazuma realized that Darkness was dangerous in a different way than Megumin or Aqua.
The sparkle in his eyes when he first met Darkness had faded, and he was now looking at Megumin and Aqua with cold eyes. Of course, it was probably a reward for Darkness.
Kazuma left the scene, but the next day Darkness found him again, but he made an immediate decision. Darkness seemed genuinely happy about Kazuma's quick decision, and Kazuma sensed a crisis. He probably didn't want to bring any more strange people into his crew.

Kazuma learns skills from Chris

Kazuma learns the Steal skill, which allows him to steal his opponent's belongings.
Chris then challenges him to a game: which will he be able to steal? A dagger worth 400,000 Eris, or a bunch of pebbles? However, Kazuma, with his high luck value, went overboard and got the crispy panties.
The way he swung the stolen panties around was something you'd never expect from a protagonist.
His next steal spell was to steal Megumin's panties, so perhaps his luck was so high that his steal spells were going awry. Naturally, the people around him were shocked, but Darkness was thrilled and begged to let him join the party. Still, it was strangely catchy, so perhaps it was just an old man joke punning on the words party and panties.
After the subsequent successful cabbage subjugation quest, Darkness was recognized for her skills as a Crusader and successfully joined the party.

Kazuma accompanied Megumin to the castle of the Demon Lord's executive, Beldia, and they repeatedly cast explosive spells. Then they came to retaliate.

Kazuma repeatedly cast explosive spells at the castle of the Demon Lord's executive. Then they came to retaliate. Of course. Anyone would be angry if their home was destroyed.
However, he didn't fight here, he just complained, cast a curse on himself, and left. The curse was easily lifted by Aqua, and he was just a pitiful executive of the Demon King's army.

A man who seems to represent reincarnation appears and fights Kazuma.

A hero named Kyoya Mitsurugi appears, claiming to have been reincarnated after receiving a magic sword from Aqua. Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness are all extremely talented if you look at their jobs alone, so Kazuma asks if it's not embarrassing to have such talented members sleeping in the stables. Far from being embarrassing, Kazuma retorts that he's never seen them excel in all the time they've been adventuring with Aqua and the others.

It didn't seem like he was using particularly offensive language, but perhaps feeling disgusted by the way Mitsurugi Kyoya spoke to Kazuma, Aqua and the others vehemently criticize him. However, Mitsurugi Kyoya won't listen. He challenges Kazuma to a duel.

Early on in the battle, Kazuma uses Steal to steal the magic sword and hit him over the head, winning the battle. It was a moment that made us think that Kazuma might actually be quite strong, after all. He defeated a hero who had been active with a magic sword given to him by the goddess.

Later, when two girls from Mitsurugi Kyoya's party, who had been watching the whole fight, complained that it was unfair to steal the magic sword, he fought them off with hand movements that were hardly believable for a protagonist, and a threat to use his steal ability in public. I wonder how far the rumors of Kazuma's steal ability have reached, and I can't help but worry that Kazuma is having a hard time living. Of course, it's his own fault. And then he immediately sold the magic sword he stole, a devilish act, as expected of Kazuma.

Kazuma goes from penniless to heavily in debt

After previously defeating Beldia, a senior member of the Demon King's army, with Aqua's magic and Kazuma's steal ability, Kazuma was excited about the reward. After all, he's a high-ranking member of the Demon King's army, so the reward should have been great - really, great. The reward was 300 million. However, the damage caused by Aqua's magic was greater, so he received a bill for 340 million, leaving him 40 million in debt. This is a huge blow to Kazuma, who is already living in extreme poverty despite living in a stable.

Kazuma is dead!

To pay off my debt, I decided to take on a quest to defeat snow spirits. Since the price was high—100,000 Eris for each—and the snow spirits were apparently very weak, I immediately decided to take on the quest.

During the quest, the snow spirit's master, Fuyu Shogun, appeared, revealing the true nature of the high-value quest. During the battle, Kazuma was cut in half by Winter General.
He returned to the afterlife and cried as he thought back on the days he had spent with Aqua and the others. Kazuma's true feelings were that he had actually liked that world. Having revealed his true feelings, Kazuma was allowed to be reincarnated into a wealthy family in Japan, and as he was about to disappear into the light, Aqua's voice rang out. Normally, Kazuma would not be able to be brought back to life, but thanks to Aqua's unreasonable insistence, Eris made an exception and succeeded in bringing him back to life. And so Kazuma's hectic days began again.

Kazuma wins a nobleman's villa as a reward for exorcising spirits

Having risen from the stables, Kazuma accepts a request to perform an exorcism, offering the entire villa in return. With the goddess Aqua in his party, exorcisms are a breeze. However, it turns out that the reason the nobleman's villa was possessed by evil spirits was because Aqua had placed a barrier over the cemetery where the evil spirits frequented, causing spirits with nowhere to go to gather there, so she decides not to accept the extra reward that was unexpectedly offered.
Anyway, she managed to escape the stables safely and take possession of the mansion.

It seems that Kazuma is enjoying life in the other world after meeting Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin. After his death, he was moved to tears as he remembered his adventures with Aqua and the others. He must really love spending every day with Aqua and the others.
Kazuma, who had spent his days working part-time in civil engineering and living in the stables, must have felt a sense of relief when he finally got a place to live as a reward for completing a quest, knowing that life could finally begin.
