Part 6 of JoJo will be released as an anime in January 2022. One major difference between Part 6 and other series is that it is the only female protagonist in the series. Furthermore, this work can be said to be a turning point in the JoJo series, and although it is a work that has been met with mixed reviews, the characters are just as well-defined as other JoJo series. I would like to introduce the main characters of Part 6.
Character No. 1: Jolyne Kujo
The main character of this work and the only female protagonist in the series. She is the daughter of Jotaro Kujo, the main character of Part 3, but at the start of the work, she was estranged from him due to her parents' divorce. She was framed for murder by her boyfriend and a corrupt lawyer for causing a traffic accident (in fact, the accident itself was a conspiracy to put Jolyne in prison), and was imprisoned in Green Dolphin Street High Security Prison. However, when her father Jotaro came to rescue her, she learned that Jotaro had stayed away from his family to avoid involving them in a past grudge, and she chose to stay in prison to help Jotaro, who had lost his memories and Stand while protecting Jolyne. Her Stand ability is "Stone Free," which can turn her body into thread or mental power into thread.
Jolyne Kujo is this kind of character!
At first, she was a woman her age who was upset after being falsely accused, but after reuniting with her father Jotaro and having Jotaro's memories and Stand taken away, she becomes one of the strongest mentally in the series. The Stand ability is the ability to transform mental power into threads, and the ability itself may be weaker than the protagonists of previous series, but Jolyne's strength lies not in her Stand, but in her mental strength. Despite being a woman, she is the protagonist with the strongest mental strength in the series.
Character No. 2 Hermes Costello
A woman incarcerated in Green Dolphin Street High Security Prison where Jolyne is held. Her crime is armed robbery. Her Stand ability is manifested when she picks up Jolyne's pendant and touches the fragment of the arrow. In fact, Hermes is incarcerated for repeat offenses, but she came to the prison with a certain purpose. This was to exact revenge on Max Speed, the murderer who brutally murdered his sister, Gloria. Her Stand's ability is "Kiss", which splits anything it attaches into two, and when it is removed, it is destroyed and returns to its original form.
Here's what Hermes is like!
She is a loyal and compassionate character, one of the most manly in the series, who is known for her determination to commit a crime and be imprisoned in order to avenge her sister, and for giving her warm panties to the Stand holder who attempted double suicide to dissuade him from doing so. Even after she has exacted revenge, she cooperates with Jolyne to corner Whitesnake (Father Pucci).
Character 3: Emporio Alniño
A boy who lives in the Green Dolphin Street High Security Prison. Even Whitesnake (Father Pucci) does not know his true identity, and he supports Jolyne at every turn while introducing her to his comrades Weather Report and Anasui. Although he is an 11-year-old boy, his knowledge rivals that of adults. His stand ability is Burning Down the House, which controls the "ghosts of objects."
Emporio is this kind of character!
Thanks to his Stand ability, he has been living in a prison since birth, and he can handle the ghosts of all kinds of objects. He has gained knowledge that rivals that of adults by using the ghosts of books, so his way of thinking is very mature, but he still has some boyish aspects appropriate for his age. His role is to support Jolyne and the others, and he rarely participates in battles, but he is a character who plays a major role at the very end.
Character No. 4 Foo Fighters
Plankton was given a disk by Whitesnake (Father Pucci) and gained intelligence. The main body is a collection of microorganisms like water fleas. His mission and reason for existence was to protect the disk hidden in the tractor, but he was defeated in a battle with Jolyne and the others, but Jolyne, who understood the Foo Fighters' philosophy, took pity on him, and from then on he cooperated with Jolyne and the others using the corpse of the female prisoner Etro. He is a Stand himself, and can do many things, such as changing his appearance and treating people with nanomachines. However, since he is a collection of plankton, he needs water to survive.
Foo Fighters are like this!
He initially appears as Jolyne's enemy, but later becomes an ally. His initial personality was one of a straightforward person who only wanted to fulfill his mission, but after using Etro's body, he seems to be somewhat pulled in that direction (or is acting like it). Since he is practically a newborn, he lacks common sense and can get into trouble. He is most afraid of losing his intelligence, and the reason he cooperates with Jolyne and the others is to protect his intelligence, which allowed him to become Jolyne's friend.
Character No. 5 Weather Report
A mysterious man who is one of Emporio's companions. He has lost his memory, has no memory of his life before imprisonment, and cannot even remember his own name, so he goes by the name of his stand, Weather Report. His real name is Wes Bluemarine, and his true identity is Enrico Pucci's younger brother. His stand ability is the ability to control the weather, and in addition to being able to control all weather, he can also make poison dart frogs fall with the Fafrotskies phenomenon. Heavy Weather, who was manifested by Weather Report's lost memories of hatred, interferes with the ozone layer and uses large-scale subliminal images to make anyone who touches a rainbow believe it to be a snail, significantly reducing their physical abilities.
Here's what Weather Report is like!
Perhaps because he has lost his memory, he is quiet and calm. Although he is a mysterious character, he is highly skilled and plays an important role as Jolyne's older brother. However, when he regains his memory, his arrogant personality is revealed. The reason for this is that he lost his lover in an event that can only be considered a twist of fate. When Father Pucci found out that Weather was his real brother, and that his lover was his real sister, Perla, Father Pucci was distressed and asked a breakup specialist to help him. However, because the breakup specialist was a white supremacist, Weather, who was thought to be of black descent, was almost killed, and Perla, seeing this (he was actually alive), committed suicide. This experience had a great impact on Weather himself and Father Pucci, transforming them into the violent characters mentioned above.
Character No. 6: Narciso Anasui
A man who is being held for murder. He has a special fetish for disassembly, and cannot help but disassemble everything. He was arrested for disassembling his lover and his cheating partner. He was one of Emporio's companions, but the circumstances are unknown. Emporio also said that he was not the kind of man who would do something for others, and he was a character with a striking abnormality, but he took a liking to Jolyne and cooperated with her to marry her. His stand is "Diver Down," which allows him to enter the interior of objects and disassemble or reassemble them.
This is what Anna Sui is like!
Initially, he was set up as a weirdo with a disassembly habit, but perhaps as a result of his love for Jolyne or for the author's convenience, his initial weirdness and mysterious aura has disappeared and he has become a compassionate, talkative, and playful character. Originally, he was set up to have no interest in anyone other than Jolyne, but in the end, he is a caring, friend-loving, and pretty decent character.
Character No. 7: Jotaro Kujo
Jolyne's father and the protagonist of Part 3. He is the face of JoJo, appearing in Parts 4 and 5. He divorced his wife, and Jolyne thought he was a father who didn't care about his family, but all of this was to avoid involving his family in his own feud. Early in the story, he loses his memory and his Stand and goes into a coma. His Stand ability is the time-stopping Stand "Star Platinum".
Kujo Jotaro is this kind of character!
He was the protagonist of the previous work and was supposed to be the strongest Stand user, but in Part 6 he leaves early on and doesn't appear until near the final episode. He doesn't have many good points in Part 6, but if he doesn't leave early on, there's a high chance he'll solve everything on his own, so maybe that's unavoidable. He is very weak when his daughter Jolyne is used as a shield.
[JoJo's Bizarre Adventure] Stone Ocean Part 6 Character Introduction Summary
Here is a summary of the main characters in Part 6! Part 6 is a work that would not work without any of the characters, and each character has a great moment to shine. Some characters drop out, or rather, almost all of the characters drop out in the end, but the story has the most cathartic ending of the series, so it's definitely one to watch!
