The story begins when Koichi arrives at Neapolis (Naples) Airport in search of Shiobana Haruno (Giorno's Japanese name). Polpo is also serving his sentence here. Giorno moved to the city after his mother remarried. The story begins with Polpo's death and the protagonist stays there until he sets off to search for his hidden fortune. Neapolis is a famous city, and is the third largest city in Italy after Rome and Milan. Incidentally, Neapolis isn't a very safe city. That also matches the story perfectly.

Polpo's hidden fortune was located here. On the way to Capri, he was attacked by Zucchero. This is where the Stand-based battle began. After handing over the hidden fortune to the organization on the island, Bucciarati was promoted to executive and assigned to guard Trish. It was on the island's winding cliffs that Mista fought Saleh. Capri is also famous for its Blue Grotto, an underwater cave that can be entered by small boat.

Giorno and his friends were hiding out in a vineyard with Trish, but they received orders from their boss to go to the ruins of Pompeii. Since the ruins of Pompeii are located in Neapolis, it's likely the vineyards are also located outside of Capri and in Neapolis. This isn't mentioned in the main story, though. Pompeii is an ancient city that is said to have been destroyed by a massive eruption of Mount Vesuvius during Japan's Yayoi period. The dead were buried in ashes, which later created hollow spaces. Plaster statues of Pompeians were created by filling these hollow spaces and are now on display. In the story, this is the place where Apacquio first activated his Stand.

Incidentally, Florence is also famous as the home of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.

They arrive in Venice to deliver Trish to the boss. It was here, on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, that Trish was introduced to the boss. As a result, Giorno and his friends ultimately betrayed the boss, and in the betrayal scene, Narancia chases after Giorno and his friends as they board a boat. It was a scene that was very fitting for Venice, the city of water.

Giorno and his friends decide to visit Sardinia, the island where Trish told them about his father and mother. After a difficult plane crash, they finally arrive. Sardinia, along with the surrounding islands, is part of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia. The second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, it is a popular tourist destination thanks to its historical ruins, buildings that are even more colorful than those in Italy, and beautiful beaches. In the main story, Doppio fights a fierce battle with Risotto, and ultimately stays here until Fugo's death.

What did you all think? Just writing this article has me wanting to go on a pilgrimage to Italy. Venice in particular is a city that is often used as a reference in other manga, and I would like to go there at least once before I die. With Kishibe Rohan, there's no need to study Italian. Thank you again for today!
