Golden Wind is the fifth installment in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. The story unfolds when the protagonist, Giorno Giovanna, who aspires to be a gangster, joins the gang Passione. Pannacotta Fugo is a member of Passione and acts on the same team as the protagonist. What kind of person is he? We would like to introduce him to you today.

Pannacotta Fugo is a 16-year-old former genius boy. He is said to have a quick temper, and in fact, when he first appears, the older Narancia, who is teaching him, loses his temper and beats him up because he is so stupid. However, this is actually the only time he loses his temper in the story. The Golden Wind series includes flashbacks for each main character, explaining their reasons for becoming gangsters and their upbringing, but this did not happen for Fugo. He was only introduced by the enemy characters in just two panels, which is the only time he activates his Stand. The gist is that he has an IQ of 152, and was accepted into university at the age of 13, but because he has a quick temper, he beats up his teacher. He then falls into despair and joins an organization.

As mentioned earlier, not only were there no flashback scenes, but he also had almost no opportunities to shine. The scene that left the biggest impression on me was when he beat up Narancia when he first appeared. He only activated his Stand once. His IQ is said to be 152, but he never worked out tactics with the strategist Giorno, and that role is generally played by Giorno and Bucciarati. Katagiri Yasujuro, who appears in Part 4, has an IQ of 160, so compared to him, he is a character who is a little inferior.

His stand is Purple Haze. The battle with Man in the Mirror was the first and last time he activated his stand. He has six capsules in his fists, each containing a virus. Destroying the capsules releases the virus. The virus is scattered into the air and can infect the victim by inhaling it or ingesting it through the skin. Once inside the body, the virus multiplies ferociously, causing illness and instant death within 30 seconds. However, this virus is weak to light and dies after being exposed to it for several tens of seconds. The Stand itself is by no means highly intelligent, as it reflects Fugo's angry personality. In terms of destructive power, this is probably the most powerful Stand in the series.
[JoJo's Bizarre Adventure] Golden Wind Part 5 Pannacotta Fugo and the Organization
Middle of the story, Bucciarati, who has become the leader and executive of the organization, decides to betray the organization. He explains the reason by saying that he needs allies. Giorno had decided to side with Bucciarati from the start, the cool guy Apacchio made a snap decision, Mista optimistically followed him, Narancia was moved as he chased after the ship, and then... Fugo refused. That's right, he left at this point. And he never appeared in the main story again. Why? ?
Why did Fugo stay in the organization?

Fugo didn't stay in the organization because he had any particular respect for the boss. In this work, he was just afraid of making the organization his enemy. So why did they put such a character on the team? There is a theory that this was a problem on the creator's side. First of all. The author had considered having Fugo, who eventually joined the organization, fight Bucciarati and the others as an enemy, but to avoid making it a sad story (even though his comrades were already dying), the idea was shelved. It is said that Cioccolata and Secco replaced him. The second reason is that Fugo's Stand was too strong. It's true that you can't avoid the virus even if you skip time, and you can't fight alongside your comrades. It may be a little difficult to involve him in the final battle. Also, Bucciarati and the others have a sense of justice, and don't really approve of involving ordinary people. It's difficult to find a role for Fugo's (indiscriminate) attacks. Sometimes I wonder why they made his Stand ability like that!

What is impressive about his few scenes is that Fugo, who is usually calm and said to be a genius, participates in the dance. Seeing this, it seems like the three who didn't participate were the ones who were calmer, and Fugo is more in favor of Mista and Narancia.

This is also the scene where his position becomes completely unclear. A genius, quick to anger, and the most dangerous Stand, this is the moment he acknowledges Giorno. After the only battle in which he demonstrated his Stand ability, he acknowledged Giorno's actions and said, "I respect your act of risking your life," after which Giorno replied, "The risk of your life is Apacquio." He then asked Apacquio to treat him. This made me wonder how Fugo would solidify his position on the team in the future. It was also a strange battle in that Fugo, who was captured at the beginning, was the least injured.

Poor Fugo, he was a bullied kid and was sadly not in the final scene. The kind of life that Fugo led is depicted in "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 2: Golden Heart/Golden Ring," so if you're interested, be sure to check it out! Thank you so much to everyone who read it!
