The wildly popular "Isekai Quartet" began airing in the spring of 2019. It's a quintet of four isekai anime. This time, we'll be revealing our top 10 favorite characters from the series. Every character plays more than just a supporting role, so it's a tough choice, but we're sure you'll be pleased.
What is [Isekai Quartet]?

Isekai anime has now become a well-established genre. It refers to anime in which the protagonist is reincarnated or transported to another world. Among them, four extremely popular anime have unexpectedly joined forces to create "Isekai Quartet," which we'll be introducing today. There's no way it won't be entertaining!
The Popularity of Each Series
All four anime series have officially sold over 16 million copies in total, with Blu-ray and DVD series totaling over 500,000 copies. All four have also been adapted into movies and have aired two or more seasons. Can you imagine how amazing they are? Anyway, you can look forward to them!

If you haven't seen one of them yet, or even if you haven't seen them all, you're welcome! There are explanations of each anime in between, so it's easy to understand. While most of the stories are dark, this one is a light-hearted one. Each strong character is used well, so you can easily watch it all the way to the end. It's also 15 minutes long, so it's a great way to take a break from watching.
Popular Characters
To be honest, every character is incredibly popular (lol). Knowing their exploits in the anime, they're all essential, but I'll go ahead and make a top 10! Please note that these are purely my personal opinions. So, let's get hyped!
[Isekai Quartet] Top 10 Most Popular Characters: Rudelsdorf
Our top 10 is the intimidating cigar-smoking man from "The Saga of Tanya the Evil": Rudelsdorf! He's the Imperial Vice Chief of Staff and a Brigadier General, and he loves cigars and alcohol. Simply put, he's a general. He's very logical, dignified, and imposing. In "Isekai Quartet," he always has a cigar in his hand and seems to hold a position similar to that of a school principal. He always pops up unexpectedly, so please look forward to it (lol).
[Isekai Quartet] Top 9 Most Popular Characters: Roswaal
Next up is Roswaal from "Re:ZERO − Starting Life in Another World." He's a powerful nobleman from the Kingdom of Lugnica. He's incredibly powerful and has a mastery of magic! He has a very quirky way of speaking, but once you hear it, you'll be hooked (lol). In "Isekai Quartet," he's apparently the homeroom teacher.
[Isekai Quartet] Top 8 Most Popular Characters: Dagnes
Our top 8 is Dagnes from "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World!"! She comes from an aristocratic family and has some pretty intense sexual fetishes. She's probably the most intense character I've seen in any of the series (lol). Despite being a young lady, she's also a Crusader, a fairly high-ranking class. If it weren't for her crazy delusions and extreme masochistic sexual tendencies, she could probably live as a beautiful knight (lol). "Isekai Quartet" often deviates from the plot.
[Isekai Quartet] Top 7 Most Popular Characters: Subaru
Next up is Natsuki Subaru, the protagonist of "Re:ZERO − Starting Life in Another World." He's also known by his nickname "Balse" (lol). In Re:ZERO, he played a rather tough character, but in "Isekai Quartet," he seems to be his usual cheerful self. It was a pretty depressing anime, so I wondered what would happen, but he seems to be a cheerful, high-energy character.
[Isekai Quartet] Top 6 Most Popular Characters: Kazuma
Next up is Satou Kazuma, the protagonist from "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World!". He's still referred to as a hiki-neet (meaning a shut-in or NEET), but he's probably the most normal character. Maybe it just seems that way because everyone else is so eccentric (lol).
[Isekai Quartet] Top 5 Most Popular Characters: Albedo
Next up in the top 5 is Albedo from "Overlord"! She's a stunning beauty and calls herself Ainz's wife. It's just a self-proclaimed title, though. In "Isekai Quartet," she fights hard every day to protect Ainz. She even keeps her seat to Ainz's left in the classroom. She's a perky, spunky female character in "Isekai Quartet."
[Isekai Quartet] Top 4 Most Popular Characters: Emilia
Top 4 is the heroine Emilia from "Re:ZERO − Starting Life in Another World." She's a half-elf, 100 years old, which is pretty old (lol). She's mentally 14, so she's a lively character, though. In "Isekai Quartet," she's primarily a soothing character. Even when things get chaotic, Emilia's words are soothing. She's an essential character in "Isekai Quartet."
[Isekai Quartet] Top 3 Most Popular Characters: Aqua
Topping the top 3 is the heroine Aqua from "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World!" She was quite the troublemaker in "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World!", and of course she is in "Isekai Quartet" as well. She's probably the one who causes the most trouble. However, her frequent appearances mean she's quite popular. Her slapstick antics are a must-see.
[Isekai Quartet] Top 2 Most Popular Characters: Tanya Degurechaff
Tanya Degurechaff, the protagonist of "The Saga of Tanya the Evil," appears frequently. Episode 3 was also centered around her. Her deformed form is especially cute, and her logical nature makes the story easy to follow. Her naturally calm and collected nature really comes through. Only one character from "Saga of Tanya the Evil" has lines; the other characters barely have any (lol).
[Isekai Quartet] Top 1 Most Popular Character: Ainz Ooal Gown
Topping the list is the protagonist, Ainz Ooal Gown, from "Overlord." He stands out quite a bit in "Isekai Quartet" (lol), but he may be the most flexible and adaptable. He was the one who quickly accepted school and is very cooperative (lol). He's also the one who everyone treats with the most hostility and caution. They look like the enemy, after all. But they're human on the inside, and it's hilarious to see them listen carefully in class (lol).
