Sword Art Online: Alicization is set to air over four seasons starting in the fall of 2018! Kirito (Kirito Kirigaya)

A boy who grew up with his childhood friends Eugeo and Alice in the Village of Rulid, located in the forest of the Northern Empire of Norangarth. One day, while the three were living peacefully together, Alice was taken away by the Integrity Knights for violating the Taboo Index, a law that must never be violated in Kirito's country. In response, Kirito and Eugeo leave the village and go on an adventure to save Alice.

Kirito's memories of the village of Rulid are memories that shouldn't actually exist. The Underworld where Kirito lives is a virtual world, and the real Kirito, that is, Kirigaya Kazuto, grew up in the real world.
Eugeo

A boy with flaxen hair and green eyes, he often plays the role of Kirito's straight man. He is a childhood friend of Kirito and Alice, but has lost his memory when Kirito first meets him. Eugeo reunites with Kirito, and together they leave the village to save Alice and become Integrity Knights!
Eugeo's Strength
After Alice was taken away, Eugeo brought back a sacred artifact called the Blue Rose Sword and kept it. After he began attending the Sword Training Academy with Kirito, he developed a talent for swordsmanship that even surprised Kirito. In the SAO series, only Yuuki has surprised Kirito, so it's safe to say that Eugeo's strength is considerable!
Alice Zuberg

A childhood friend of Kirito and Eugeo, she is the heroine of the Alicization arc. She was taken to the Cathedral by the Integrity Knights when she was young for violating the Taboo Index. The next time Alice appeared before Kirito and his friends was as an Integrity Knight, Alice Synthesis Thirty, and came to arrest Kirito and his friends for violating the Taboo Index. However, after becoming an Integrity Knight, Alice had lost her memories of the time she spent with Kirito and his friends in Rulid Village, and was like a completely different person.

Although she is Alice Zuberg herself, her memories have been rewritten by Administrator's [Synthesis Ritual] to read "I was summoned from Heaven by Administrator." She possesses a sacred artifact called the [Osmanthus Sword]. He is said to be Administrator's successor and is an important key person in the Alicization arc.
Cardinal

A mysterious girl that Kirito and Eugeo met in the White Tower. Cardinal helped Kirito when he was in danger.
In fact, [Cardinal] is the name of a system to maintain game balance, and she is a girl who is a sub-process of the Cardinal Program.
Administrator (Quinella)

The high priest of the [Axiom Church], which holds power in the Underworld. She is the most beautiful woman in the Underworld, and was originally a noblewoman named Quinella. She also created the Taboo Index to prevent anyone from overturning her absolute control. She also has a cruel side, as anyone who goes against the Index has their memories rewritten by the Administrator using a technique called the Secret Ritual of Synthesis, turning them into her loyal subordinates, the Integrity Knights.
Dark God Vecta (Gabriel Miller)

The strongest man in the dark realm of the Underworld, he is the one who started the Otherworld War to invade the human world. The Dark God Vector is a highly-authorized super account, and his true identity is Gabriel Miller, the CEO of Glogen Diffusion Systems. He is also the person in charge of the operation that attacked Ocean Turtle.
PoH (Vassalo Casals)

A dark knight who fights alongside the dark god Vecta. His true identity is a member of Glowgen Diffusion Systems. PoH is also a SAO survivor and the leader of SAO's murder guild, Rafin Coffin. The Dark Knight is also a high-authority super account, just like the Dark God Vector.
Bercouli Synthesis One

The first Integrity Knight, and the strongest of the Integrity Knights! Apparently he's actually over 200 years old... He possesses a sacred artifact called the Time Piercing Sword, which has the ability to cut into the future (wherever the sword is used to cut, a slash remains, and touching that spot will result in an attack). Bercouli's true identity is the first captain of the guard of the village of Rulid, Eugeo's hometown.

The second Integrity Knight, her sacred weapon is the Heaven-piercing Sword. She always wears a helmet to hide the fact that she is a woman, but she is actually a very beautiful knight. Even though she later became an Integrity Knight, she was jealous of Alice, who was stronger and more beautiful than her and fought without hiding her true identity. However, after crossing swords with Kirito, she stopped hiding the fact that she was a woman and married Bercouli, the man she had always loved.
Ronie Arabelle

A 16-year-old female trainee at the Sword Training Academy where Kirito studied swordsmanship. She becomes Kirito's trainee and begins to have feelings for him. Kirito violated the Taboo Index in order to protect Ronie and Tiese, who was Eugeo's attendant, and became a criminal. Ronie deeply regrets this and sheds tears when she is reunited with Kirito.
Tise Schtrinenen

A female trainee at the Sword Training Academy where Kirito and Eugeo studied swordsmanship, she is 16 years old, just like Ronie. She becomes Eugeo's attendant and has feelings for him. Like Kirito, Eugeo also violated the Taboo Index in order to protect Tiese and Ronie, and was taken away by Integrity Knight Alice. He regrets this and vows to become an Integrity Knight himself and save Eugeo.
