"I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. 2" will finally begin airing in January 2023. The first season covered up to the fourth event. I'm already looking forward to seeing what happens in season two. So, this time I'll be looking at the contents of the original manga based on the information released about the second season's broadcast contents, and predicting what to look forward to. I'm just summarizing what I think will be depicted here, so please forgive me if it differs from the actual broadcast.

After the 4th event...

4th event launch

In the final episode of the first season, the 4th event ended and a launch party was held at the "Maple Tree" guild home. The main members of "Gathering of Holy Swords" and "Country of the Fire Emperor" also participated. Maple called out to everyone in the city and invited them, and at that time she also registered everyone as friends. This will be the trigger for interactions with members of "Gathering of Holy Swords" and "Country of the Fire Emperor" in the second season. There may also be a scene where Maple and Pain hold an event together.

And what will be the first stage!?

The second season will start on the fourth floor. I think it will start with defeating the boss on the fourth floor, but the story will begin in the city on the fourth floor.

What is the city on the fourth floor like?

The fourth floor is the city of darkness, with two moons, one red and one blue, in the starry night sky. Wooden buildings line the streets, and the whole city is filled with a Japanese feel. You can see the atmosphere in the first PV. You can see it from the Twitter link above, so if you haven't seen it yet, please take a look.

Are there a lot of events on the fourth floor?

Kasumi

The town is divided into sections, from "Ichi" to "Juu". At first, you can only move within section one, and to move to the next section, you need to clear a quest and get a pass. It seems like there are a lot of events in the town on the 4th floor. Maple may get a strange skill, and if she does, I'm looking forward to seeing what strange skill it is.

Is there a master on the 4th floor?

Each floor has a floor boss. You cannot go to the next floor unless you defeat that boss. It seems that there is a "master" in addition to the floor boss on this 4th floor, and the "master" is stronger than the floor boss and most players are defeated. Please look forward to seeing whether Maple will be able to defeat this "master" and whether she will fight with her members and friends.

Interactions with Friend Players

Maple

As I wrote at the beginning, I think that the second season will also depict interactions with friend players. I think that in the fourth floor, the relationship between Maple and Mii will become much closer. There is a scene that seems to be like that in the PV, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they will interact until the broadcast.

Kasumi is in action! ?

Kasumi

Kasumi, who was a normal player among the members of "Maple Tree", seems to be active in the 4th floor. In fact, Kasumi is a big fan of Japanese things, and the 4th floor was an irresistible town for Kasumi. In the 4th floor, you have to clear the event to pass through the section, so she was the most enthusiastic among the members of "Maple Tree" to conquer it.

Finally, Kasumi...

As she actively conquers the 4th floor town, Kasumi will probably step into the unusual, Maple-like direction. While the other members acquired new equipment and weapons in the first season and became Maple-colored, Kasumi played honestly. I think Kasumi will become Maple-colored in the second season.

Things to notice from the released key visual

Key visual

Maple and Sally were able to obtain the eggs of the phantom beast by defeating the event boss "Silver Wing" in the second event, and were able to recruit Syrup and Oboro. In the key visual above, the members of "Maple Tree" are riding on Syrup. However, if you look closely, you can see a member of the Gathering Holy Sword riding something like a white dragon, and a member of the "Country of the Fire Emperor" riding something like a phoenix on the left and right. What does this mean?

Are you able to tame monsters?

If you read the original work, you will be able to tame monsters from the 7th floor. It was introduced based on the system of Syrup and Oboro, and each person can tame one monster. The 7th floor is a larger map than the other floors, and it seems that various monsters live there, so players can find and tame a monster that suits them. Some of the monsters are rare, so the monsters ridden by the Gathering Holy Sword and the Country of the Fire Emperor may be rare monsters.

Kasumi's tamed monster?

Above is the Twitter of the release of the 13th volume of the original manga, and there is a white snake with Kasumi. I think this is a monster that Kasumi has tamed. Since the key visual shows information about monster taming, I think Kasumi's white snake will also be depicted. However, Maple and Sally already have Syrup and Oboro, so it seems they cannot tame any new ones.

How much will be depicted in the second season?

Maple

From the key visual, it seems that the story will go up to the 7th floor in the original work. If it depicts monster taming, I think that if it depicts the 8th event after that, the ending will be quite exciting like the first season. If that's the case, it will be interesting to see what parts of the anime will depict various episodes other than the 5th and 6th floors and the 5th to 7th events up to the 7th floor.

Summary of highlights of the second season

This time, we have predicted the highlights of the second season and how much of the anime will be broadcast based on information from the original work, mainly focusing on the first PV and key visuals that have been released. Since the number of episodes is fixed for the anime, it is not guaranteed that all of the original work will be depicted. In addition, the anime may be directed differently from the original work for broadcast. There is a possibility that the content will be different from what we have introduced this time, but we hope you will forgive us for that. Thank you for reading to the end.
