What's more, even after eating, she gets hungry again quickly, so much so that Rin says she has "a wild animal in her stomach."
But! Was she once overweight?
It's hard to imagine from Nadeshiko's current cute appearance, but she was actually overweight in middle school! She must have overeaten. Her older sister, unable to bear seeing Nadeshiko gain weight from overeating and showing no sign of crisis, puts her on a diet. This was quite a tough task, and the task was to cycle around Lake Hamana every day during summer vacation. The distance was between 40 and 70 kilometers, which is quite hard on a bicycle. In the first episode, Nadeshiko cycled 40 kilometers to see Mount Fuji, so it makes sense why she has such great stamina. Also in the first episode, her older sister called her a "pig." At first, this made me think that her older sister was a sharp-tongued character, but after this, her older sister was generally sweet to Nadeshiko, and her gentle personality was often evident. This is probably a remnant of her time when she was overweight.
