Five years after the goblin attack on her village, the cowgirl was traumatized and unable to leave her pasture. One day, while grazing her cows, she noticed several people walking toward town. The cowherd girl is embarrassed as people keep glancing at her, but there she sees someone who must be the boy grown up. That was also the day Goblin Slayer had been accepted into the town to register as an adventurer. The cowherd girl notices him and calls out to him, but her voice does not reach him. That night, Goblin Slayer, who had hunted goblins for the first time, was walking after finishing the subjugation. The cowherd girl immediately calls out to him. She quickly persuades her uncle and arranges for Goblin Slayer to live in her lodgings.

The cowherd girl, who had never ventured out into town due to a traumatic experience, gradually changes her feelings after meeting Goblin Slayer. She begins to come into town with the help of her uncle. At that time, she hires a spearman and two witch bodyguards and heads to the site of the old village. That's when the witch says, "You look prettier with your hair cut," which is probably why the cowherd girl cut her hair. The cowherd girl was cute with her long hair, but she's more attractive with her current hairstyle, which allows her eyes to be seen clearly.

The cowherd girl has a crush on Goblin Slayer. Originally, she was thinking about apologizing for their falling out, but now she's genuinely worried about him. She also casually keeps an eye on her rivals. So, what does Goblin Slayer think? There is no depiction of him liking the cowherd girl, but the only depiction that could support his behavior towards her is a comment his sister made when he got into a fight with the cowherd girl as a child: "You have to protect girls." On the day that goblin footprints were discovered, Goblin Slayer advised the cowherd girl to flee, saying she couldn't prevent them on her own. However, the cowherd girl refused. Long ago, Goblin Slayer happened not to be there when the village was attacked by goblins, and as a result, he continues to hunt goblins alone to this day. He strongly refused to allow Goblin Slayer to have no place to return to, so although it was selfish of him, he stubbornly refused to run away.

Goblin Slayer has just returned from a goblin hunt. While he's maintaining his weapon in his hut, the cowherd girl appears. She leans over and watches him maintain his weapon. I'm curious to know if the next line is a reference to "Kimi ga Nai." He's already too cute at this point, but then he slowly starts to ask about the adventures that took place today. When Goblin Slayer says he saw goblins, the cowherd girl hugs him from behind. It was a great scene that showed the warmth and intimacy between the two of them.
