Following Senku and Taiju, Shishio Tsukasa was the third person to be resurrected in the Stone World, and is famous for being said to be the strongest high school primate. His role is, of course, combat. His fighting prowess is such that he can defeat a lion with his bare hands. Also, while Tsukasa may seem similar to Taiju, who boasts of his physical strength, unlike Taiju, he is actually quite clever. He is intelligent and can negotiate on equal terms with Senku. This time, we'll take a thorough look at Shishio Tsukasa from past to present!

Tsukasa is resurrected to defeat the lion

Tsukasa resurrected from petrification

Senku and Taiju finally succeed in collecting the miraculous water (a mixture of nitric acid and alcohol) to revive Magari, and rush to his location. However, a pack of wild lions appears before them. As they frantically flee, they are confronted by Tsukasa, said to be the strongest petrified primate. The two ask Tsukasa to use the resurrection liquid to repel the lions.

Temporarily joins Senku and his friends

Tsukasa becomes a temporary ally

Shortly after his return, Tsukasa calmly asks about the current situation. Senku gives a brief explanation, and Tsukasa immediately says he understands, standing up and challenging the lion to a bare-handed fight. The fight lasts only a moment. After Tsukasa's attack kills the male lion, the female lion flees from Tsukasa.

The lion he killed was used for food and clothing

Tsukasa Wearing Lion Fur

Though it was a spur-of-the-moment decision and unavoidable, Tsukasa decided to kill the lion and use its fur for clothing. Lion meat smells very bad and is not something you would normally eat, but it was a moment that gave us a glimpse of Tsukasa's kindness, as he refuses to let the death of a living creature go to waste.

What is the true nature of Tsukasa, who was considered dangerous?

Tsukasa runs to Senku and the others

Some time after Tsukasa's revival, Senku and the others finally succeeded in reviving Magari. However, soon after his revival, Senku forced them to choose between fleeing or fighting. The opponent was Tsukasa, who had just joined the team. Senku sensed this and used a cave containing miraculous water as a decoy to buy them time to escape.

Tsukasa is a good guy. But he's a murderer...

Tsukasa destroys the stone statues of the elderly

Tsukasa's dangerous thinking was that the Stone World didn't need elderly people or adults. He believed that if they were revived, they would initially be grateful, but eventually become obsessed with power and ultimately return to the world before the Stone World was formed 3,700 years ago. Having seen the dirty side of adults in the past, Tsukasa destroys all stone statues of elderly people and others.

The Tsukasa Empire in Conflict with the Kingdom of Science

Members of the Tsukasa Empire

Senku uses various chemicals to develop Ishigami Village into a Kingdom of Science. Naturally, his enemy, Tsukasa, doesn't just stand by and watch. Using the miraculous water discovered by Senku and his friends, he revives only useful young people, building up the Tsukasa Empire's military and intelligence capabilities. Tsukasa is surrounded by strong men, but he also revives capable women.

I have a mountain of stone to revive.

Pile of stone

Tsukasa gathers all people worthy of revival in one place and revives them one by one. This time, he was reviving the mentalist Gen, but behind him lay a mountain of countless petrified people. Naturally, even if they were capable, older adults are not eligible for revival.

Tsukasa Remembers the Names of the Revived Members

Tsukasa in Memory

Tsukasa prays in front of a wooden cross. Hearing the names, he recites each of them: Gozan, Yuki, Ren, and Akashi. Hyougetsu, hearing the names, instinctively asks, "Who are they?" These are the names of the Tsukasa Empire's comrades who died from poison gas in a previous battle. They were low-ranking members, and Hyougetsu, the one who killed them, doesn't remember them, but Tsukasa seems to remember each one clearly.

A sudden showdown!? Tsukasa vs. Kohaku!

Kohaku attacks Tsukasa

Tsukasa takes Kagayaki hostage, negotiations with Senku break down, and he even kills Senku. Watching from afar, Kohaku approaches Tsukasa with a bouquet of flowers and launches a surprise attack. Kohaku may look cute, but her strength is comparable to a gorilla's. Even Tsukasa realizes just how powerful she is and wonders why she's not as well-known.

Even Kohaku can't match her. Tsukasa Treats Kohaku Like a Child

Tsukasa Cutting Down a Tree

Kohaku appeared to be fighting well, with quick attacks and gentle movements, but he was treated like a baby by Tsukasa, and was ultimately crushed under a felled tree, immobilizing her. However, Tsukasa's decision to simply immobilize Kohaku, rather than kill her, shows his unwillingness to engage in pointless negotiations.

The Existence of Tsukasa's Beloved Sister, Mirai

Tsukasa's Petrified Sister

Tsukasa's sister, Mirai Shishioh, was clinically brain dead in a hospital 3,700 years ago, with zero chance of regaining consciousness and only breathing thanks to life support. To earn money for Mirai's hospital and medical expenses, Tsukasa became a martial artist, eventually rising to become the strongest primate.

Tsukasa embraces his sister in a truly miraculous reunion.

Tsukasa hugging his sister

3,700 years ago, it was said that his sister, Mirai, was brain dead and incurable. Senku had previously survived when his nervous system was destroyed by Tsukasa thanks to the petrification of his neck. Senku proposed reviving Mirai with a resurrection fluid and curing her brain death. When he actually tried it, his plan was a complete success. Mirai was freed from petrification, regained consciousness, and reunited with Tsukasa for the first time in thousands of years.

Tsukasa Falls!? Tsukasa is mortally wounded while protecting his sister

Tsukasa is mortally wounded while protecting his sister

The joy of Mirai's revival was short-lived, as the situation suddenly changed with the theft of dynamite. Amidst all this, an unexpected turn of events occurred... Hyotsuki's betrayal. The newly revived Mirai was attacked by a pipe spear. Tsukasa instinctively tried to shield her, but the spear pierced his heart. The precise impact was due to Hyotsuki's attack having been aimed at Tsukasa from the beginning.

The first and last time? Tsukasa and Senku team up!

Tsukasa and Senku face the enemy together

Tsukasa was pierced near the heart by a tube spear and seemed destined for death. However, he was truly the strongest primate. He seemed to have missed the vital spot that would have killed him instantly, and rose to his feet to challenge Hyougetsu. However, defeating Hyougetsu with injuries this severe would have been difficult... So, finally, the ultimate tag team of strength and science, Tsukasa and Senku, was formed.

The two achieve a stunning victory through science and power

Tsukasa and Senku team up

As the fierce battle with Hyotsuki reaches its final stages, Tsukasa grabs the spear and stops Senku from moving, only to be attacked by Senku's left pinky finger. Of course, it's not just any pinky finger. It's a makeshift stun gun made from a cell phone and battery. Its output is an astounding 100,000 volts! Hyotsuki loses consciousness, saying, "Damn... science..." and collapses, securing victory for Tsukasa and Senku.

What happens next for Tsukasa, who is seriously injured...

Tsukasa Undergoing Surgery

To save Tsukasa, who is critically injured and near death, Senku develops a medical superglue. However, for the final suturing, he needs someone with even more dexterity. That's when he is called in, and he is joined by former Handicraft Club member Magari, who has exceptional dexterity. Magari sees the situation and roughly figures out what's going on. Naturally, the suturing begins without anesthesia.

Tsukasa only has a few days left to live! He's been fatally injured by sepsis.

The two of them finally engage in meaningless conversation

Although they were able to close the wound with medical super glue and Tsukasa's stitches, it didn't heal the organs destroyed when the spear penetrated. Despite life-prolonging measures, Tsukasa realized he only had a few days to live due to sepsis.

He will be frozen and await the time of his resurrection.

Tsukasa is frozen

As a last resort to rescue Tsukasa, Senku came up with the idea of petrifying Tsukasa! The idea was to use the surrounding healing effect of removing the petrification. However, this would take an enormous amount of time, even years or even decades. During that time, Tsukasa would undoubtedly lose his life. Therefore, Senku decided to freeze Tsukasa in a hastily constructed freezer and preserve him until the time came.

Summary of the Strongest Primate, Tsukasa Shishio

Tsukasa, the Strongest Primate

So far, what did you think of this introduction to Tsukasa Shishio? As you'd expect from the strongest primate, he's a character with overwhelming strength and charisma. He first appears as a companion to Senku and his friends, then becomes the leader of the rival Tsukasa Empire midway through the series. He then teams up with Senku again towards the end... He's put into cold sleep due to a fatal injury, but I personally expect him to return near the final episode. I can't wait to see if Tsukasa will be in action again!
