Dr. Stone features a heroine named Kohaku, but she's sent to the Tsukasa Empire as a spy midway through the story, leaving her with few screen time... Meanwhile, another heroine, Kohaku, appears on the Science Kingdom side. While Kohaku may look cute, her fighting prowess is comparable to a gorilla! This time, we'll explore the charms of this beautiful girl with a gorilla-like personality!

When Kohaku First Appeared, She Was Just an Ordinary Beautiful Girl

Kohaku Walking with Flowers

When Kohaku first appears, she's a beautiful girl. She's holding a bunch of flowers and smiles kindly at Tsukasa, even as they meet for the first time. From this appearance, you'd never guess she was a combatant or a gorilla inside... but this is probably the first and last time we'll see Kohaku in a more mature, quiet appearance.

Beautiful Girl Mode Ends Immediately! Kohaku Launches a Surprise Attack

Kohaku Attacks Tsukasa

Kohaku appears bearing what appears to be a bouquet of flowers, but her true nature is quickly revealed. She was watching Senku, Tsukasa, and the others' interaction from afar, and she was enraged. She had hidden a dagger inside the bouquet, and attacked Tsukasa unexpectedly. Her movements were truly those of a kunoichi! Though he was no match for Tsukasa's fighting power, his skill still surprised him.

Kohaku confesses her love for Senku soon after meeting him.

Kohaku Says She's Fallen in Love

Kohaku was crushed under a large tree after losing a battle with Tsukasa. Senku, who had separated from Taiju and the others and was acting alone, appeared there. Senku quickly built a pulley to move the tree that had fallen on Kohaku. Using the power of science, he successfully rescued Kohaku. The words that came out of Kohaku's mouth were, "I think I've fallen madly in love with you." Senku was also confused by this.

Kohaku Carries a 50-L Jar of Hot Spring Water Every Day

Kohaku Carries a Jar of Hot Spring Water

Kohaku's daily routine is to fill up her jar with hot spring water from a location far from the village. The jar contains 50 liters, which must be quite heavy when including the weight of the jar. The reason she makes this trip multiple times every day is for her sister, Ruri. Ruri is suffering from an illness, and Kohaku carries the hot spring water to alleviate her symptoms.

Senku's invention makes it easy to carry the water bottle!

Two people carrying a water bottle with Senku's invention

Unable to bear seeing Kohaku carrying a heavy-looking water bottle, Senku improvises a sled-like device using the pulley he used to rescue Kohaku. Kohaku is surprised and delighted by how convenient it is. Judging from the sound effects, it seems like it's going pretty fast, so given Kohaku's personality, he might have enjoyed using it as a vehicle (lol).

Ruri worries about Kohaku's reckless behavior

Ruri worries about Kohaku

In Stone World, Kohaku works hard to help Ruri, who is suffering from an unknown illness, and Ruri watches over her with great concern. She also shows her keen intuition by noticing a change in her hair clip and realizing that there may have been a danger of it coming undone along the way.

Kohaku and his team make medicine to cure Ruri's illness

Kohaku Collecting Iron Sand

After learning about Kohaku's sister's illness, Senku and the science team decide to create an antibiotic called sulfa drugs to cure Ruri. However, the road to success is long and difficult. Incidentally, this scene shows Kohaku collecting iron sand from the river, but her clothes are more like underwear... a delightful scene for male readers.

Cure Kohaku's sister, Ruri! Kohaku and his team compete in the Imperial Tournament to determine the leader!

Senku Wins the Tournament

Senku needed alcohol to cure Ruri's illness. One of the things he needed was alcohol, and Kaseki told him about a quick way to get it. Hearing that alcohol would be served in abundance there, Senku and the science team decided to participate in the tournament. After meeting various people, Senku ended up winning.

Senku won, got married, and then promptly got divorced!?

Divorced Senku

The Imperial Tournament was to decide Ruri's husband, and Senku won, marrying her. However, once he got the sake and vinegar he was after, he suddenly announced his divorce! Even Ruri looked shocked, but perhaps this was Senku's kindness, wanting to quickly create a cure for Ruri's illness.

He administered the completed medicine to Ruri. The result is...

Ruri Taking Medicine

After a long time, the sulfa drug is finally completed. Senku gives it to Ruri. While sulfa drugs are effective against pneumonia, they are ineffective against pulmonary tuberculosis. It's a tense moment, wondering if the drug will actually work on Ruri... but after a short time, Ruri suddenly begins to suffer and collapses to the floor. Seeing these symptoms, everyone except Senku thought the administration had failed...

Ruri's pneumonia is completely cured by the medicine

Ruri is back to normal

At first, Ruri's symptoms seemed to worsen due to a reaction to the medicine, but in fact, this was proof that the medicine was working. Over time, the symptoms subsided, and with continued medication, Ruri finally regained her health. Now healthy, Ruri is able to sprint at incredible speeds, showing just how much of a real Kohaku sister she is.

Her cute face is ruined! Kohaku's Facial Expressions

Kohaku makes a scary face

This is a scene from the middle of making sulfa drugs to cure Ruri's illness. The sulfa drugs are made using a variety of ingredients, from extremely dangerous substances that can cause blindness and dissolve skin to urine for ammonia extraction. Kohaku watches the process with a smile, but suddenly makes this facial expression. He's so angry he's barely recognizable (lol).

Kohaku, despite his cute face, can still deliver sharp remarks.

Kohaku making a sharp remark

This is a scene from when they were making a cell phone. Just like with the sulfa drugs, they put in an incredible amount of time and effort to complete the phone. Then, with an innocent smile on her face, Kohaku asks how they could use just one. They'd needed two cell phones... The group had forgotten that (Senku had hidden it from them from the start), and they made some amazing faces, just like Kohaku did earlier.

Even though she's a gorilla inside, she's still a girl! Kohaku is overjoyed with cotton candy

Three people eating cotton candy

While Senku was building a cell phone in science class, they decided to make cotton candy to test its functionality. Naturally, such a food doesn't exist in Stone World, so Kohaku and his friends tasted cotton candy for the first time. They couldn't help but exclaim and blush at the sweet texture. Incidentally, there's also a touching scene later on when Kohaku gives cotton candy to her father, with whom she had been feuding.
