The TV anime aired from April to September 2019, and the sequel, the "Mugen Train Arc", is scheduled to be released as a movie on October 16, 2020.
The protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado, lives peacefully with his family deep in the mountains, but when he returns home from town, he finds a gruesome scene.
His family has been brutally murdered by demons, and Tanjiro descends the mountain with his sister Nezuko, who is barely alive.
However, on the way, Nezuko is transformed into a demon. Tanjiro is saved by Giyu Tomioka, a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, and sets out on a journey to turn Nezuko back into a human.
The first season of the anime covers up to the middle of volume 7 of the manga, and the movie version "Mugen Train" continues from there to volume 8.
Uzui Tengen appeared at the end of "Mugen Train". This time, I would like to introduce Uzui Tengen, the Sound Pillar who will be the next key person.

His first appearance was when Tanjiro was taken to the Lord of the Palace and all the pillars were gathered. As you can see from his appearance, he just loves flashy things.
He loves flashy things so much that he even uses flashy words in his sentences, such as "I oppose flashy things" and "I like flashy things." He has a large jewel on his forehead and makeup on his left eye, making for an appearance that you will never forget once you see him.
He is the Sound Pillar who uses Sound Breathing and fights using a sword.
Forceful Uzui Tengen
Four months after Rengoku's death, Aoi and Ochibi-chan are almost kidnapped by Uzui at the Butterfly Mansion. There was a legitimate reason for this, that he needed a woman for his mission, and since those who are not stepchildren do not need permission from the pillars, it is not a violation of discipline, but it was quite forceful to take her without saying anything. Thanks to Tanjiro, Aoi is returned, but without Tanjiro, Aoi would have ended up in the red light district.
Kanao acts on her own will
Until now, Kanao would decide what to do by flipping a coin, but after meeting Tanjiro, she acts on her own will for the first time.
Although she was unable to put it into words, her desire to help Aoi is clearly conveyed. It was a scene where we could see Kanao grow up a little.

Uzui tells Tanjiro and the others that his word is absolute. Calling himself a god is pretty bad, but Uzui has three wives. Zenitsu, who thought Uzui was the worst guy of all, can't hide his surprise at this. However, he tries to help his wife who he's lost contact with, so we can see that he's not a bad person.
He thinks he's plain, but...
Uzui is incredibly handsome when he infiltrates the red light district!! If he was just acting normally, he'd be pretty cool. No wonder he has three wives. Apparently, he wears makeup and a forehead protector because this look is plain.
Zenitsu was more upset that Uzui was handsome than that he was forced to dress up as a woman.
Uzui Tengen feels responsible
Uzui feels responsible for Zenitsu's disappearance. Uzui made many mistakes in judgment when he forced Zenitsu to come to find his wife, but I thought he was a decent person when he apologized to Tanjiro and Inosuke, who are lower ranks. If the demon in the entertainment district is an upper rank demon, he thinks that Tanjiro and the others, who are low rank, cannot handle it and tells them to go home. Uzui's words that it is not shameful to run away are words that only a pillar who has seen many deaths can say, and they carry weight. When Uzui finds his wife, Hinazuru, at a brothel called Kirimise, he tenderly cares for her and tells her to run away from the red light district. He doesn't blame her for failing the mission, and tells her to take care of her own life.
People won't follow you just because you're strong. It's this gentleness that attracted Hinazuru.
Sound Breathing
Sensing that a battle is taking place below ground, Uzui unleashes the first form of Sound Breathing, "Gou," and creates a path to the interior of the ground.
Uzui's dual-wielding technique is incredibly powerful, causing an explosion. However, since no one has ever survived after being hit by it, the mechanism behind it remains a mystery.
Go no Kata
Uzui and his men struggle in the battle against Upper Rank Six, Gyutaro. Driven into a corner by Gyutaro's fast, mantis-like sword strokes, Uzui unleashes the Sound Breathing Technique, Go no Kata "Nagetsuno Souzu."
It's a powerful technique in which the user swings his large sword around and charges forward, making a spectacular sound that reverberates all around.
Fourth Form
To prevent Gyutaro's wide-range attack without preparatory movements, "Enzan Saiman - Tobiki Kama", Uzui unleashed the Fourth Form of Sound Breathing, "Kimetsu no Yaiba - Tobiki Kama".

When Zenitsu went missing, Uzui told Tanjiro and Inosuke to run away because he cares about them. Rengoku said that if he was a Pillar, he would act as a shield for those below him, and Uzui acted in a similar way. Uzui's past as a member of a ninja family
It was thought that ninjas had become extinct during the Edo period, but in fact there were nine of them, and Uzui was one of them. However, by the time Uzui was 15 years old, seven had lost their lives, and only Uzui and his younger brother were left. Uzui's father, fearing the decline of the clan, made the two of them undergo strict training as if possessed by something. The younger brother had the same personality and behavior as his father, using his subordinates as pawns and only seeing his wife as a tool to produce an heir. His younger brother had no will of his own, and was simply cold and indifferent. Seeing this, Uzui strongly felt that he did not want to become like that. Though born into a ninja family, Uzui had lived his life rejecting their ideas and environment, and thought of himself as a foolish weakling. But it was Oyakata-sama who saved him. Saved by Oyakata-sama's words, Uzui risked his life to carry out his mission as a Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps. Despite being a ninja, Uzui values his life above his mission, and perhaps he takes his father and brother as bad examples.
Uzui's unique battle calculation formula "Score"
"Score" is Uzui's unique battle calculation formula that calculates the opponent's habits and blind spots by converting the rhythm of the enemy's attack movements into sounds. If there is such a thing, I think you should use it from the beginning, but the disadvantage is that it takes time to analyze the opponent, so it is not something that can be used immediately after the start of the battle.
