The Magic Side is the opposite force to the Science Side (Academy City), where the protagonist, Kamijou Touma, lives. While the psychic powers of the scientific side have been scientifically proven, the magic of the magical side is considered to be occult. Magic is a technique that consumes magical power and creates natural phenomena according to the laws of that world. Those who wield it are called magicians. [A Certain Magical Index] Important Character #10: Anuse Sanctis

A former sadistic nun of the Roman Orthodox Church. She was the girl who took the position during the Orsola Aquinas Incident, which will be discussed later. He learned Japanese in the Edo dialect, so he uses a casual tone when saying "~cchimattemasu." He is a former enemy with outstanding physical abilities, being about the same height as Index but fighting while wearing shoes about 30cm thick. He lost his parents at a young age and lived on the streets, so he can be a bit spoiled. After being defeated by Kamijou and the others, he now plans to establish a new church. He is an important character who may appear again!

A former nun of the Roman Orthodox Church, the largest power on the magical side. She is quite laid-back, does things at her own pace, and doesn't listen to others much. However, he is a powerful clergyman who was given permission to establish the "Church of Orsola," named after himself. He is not good at combat and is in charge of support. There is a grimoire called the "Book of Law," which is written in a complex code created by Aleister Crowley. After Orsola was able to decipher it, he was pursued by the Roman Orthodox Church (Agnuse and others). Incidentally, he always speaks in the style of "it is...", and uses very beautiful language!

A combat sister belonging to the Roman Catholic Church. Her long blonde hair and unique clothing are apparently the tastes of Sasha's superior. She seems to dislike them quite a bit. Due to the effects of the Angel Fall incident, he was swapped with the "power of God" and took on the name Misha. He took on a much more menacing appearance, and a large magic circle appeared behind him, making him a formidable opponent. He will definitely appear again in the future, so be sure to remember him!

Despite her beautiful, long, foot-length hair and pure features, she has a cold, calculating, and cunning personality. He is the archbishop of the "Necessarius" branch of the British Puritan Church, and although he has yet to take part in a battle, he is an incredible person who can speak on an equal footing with various leaders. His Japanese is quite poor, as he was taught it by Tsuchimikado Motoharu, but that's what makes him so endearing. He will become a very important character in the future, so be sure to keep an eye on him!

He serves as a representative of Pope Kanzaki, who was a member of the Amakusa Cross Sect, as will be discussed later. When Tatemiya Saiji first appeared, he looked like a complete villain, but in reality, he was in the opposite position. He is faithful to the Pope's teaching of "offering a helping hand to the helpless," and is kind and serious at heart. He ends his sentences with unique expressions like "You know that's..." and "You'll do it," but with the voice actor's voice, it doesn't feel out of place! After the Orsola incident, he brought the Amakusa-style Cross Sect under the umbrella of the British Puritan Church. I think he'll play an important role again, so it's essential to remember!

Itsuka is popular for her youthful face, despite her overdeveloped physique. She is an agile magician belonging to the Amakusa Cross Sect who fights with a naval cleaning spear (Friuli Spear) that is longer than she is tall. She seems to have a crush on Touma, and impressed him by treating him to some of her delicious cooking. Of course, Takemiya Saiji, mentioned above, is also secretly rooting for him! She is usually a quiet girl, but once she loses her temper, she changes completely and uses banned vocabulary to insult people. This contrast is irresistible and makes her very popular with fans. We're sure she'll play an important role in the third season as well.

A magician who belongs to the "Border of Necessary Evil (Necessarius)" of the British Puritan Church. In his first appearance, he was working with the aforementioned Kanzaki. He's a 14-year-old giant who's over 2 meters tall. He's 14 years old. He's been getting positive reviews officially, so there's no doubt about it. He uses fire in battle, and attacks with the help of Innocentius, a giant fire demon. In the anime, he seems to have feelings for Index, who will be discussed later. I'm looking forward to seeing how that develops.

And of course, number one is this person! Index is the main heroine of this series, who has a perfect memory of all 103,000 grimoires. Index has the body of a completely young girl, bites when angry, and her catchphrase is "I'm hungry," but when it comes to grimoires, her eyes change completely and she becomes serious and very reliable. She is a nun and magician who belongs to the "Necessarius" order of the British Puritan Church. It's also cute how she sometimes ends her sentences with her quirky "maybe." Of course, she will be facing enemies alongside Touma in season 3!
