Kokoro Tsurumaki, the vocalist of Hello, Happy World!, is a first-year student at Hanasakigawa Girls' Academy. She is a young lady born into an incredibly wealthy family, and although she doesn't use honorific language when speaking with upperclassmen, her bright and innocent demeanor is what makes her most charming. The reason she started the band was because she wanted to "make the whole world smile," and when she met Seta Kaoru, Kitazawa Hagumi, Matsubara Kanon, and Okusawa Misaki, she almost forcefully persuaded them to join the band.

Kokoro Tsurumaki is not only high-energy, but also noticeably strange, saying and doing things that are often referred to as "Otherworldly Dimension of Hanasakigawa" at school. Fellow member Okusawa Misaki also found it troublesome to get caught up in her actions and avoided her, but after starting to work as Michelle, she was drawn to Tsurumaki Kokoro's charm and actions. She has such a mysterious power that it makes you think she could make "the world smile."

Although Tsurumaki Kokoro stands out as innocent and impulsive, she also possesses a keen eye for observation, able to tell at a glance that someone is working as a writer. He doesn't act on impulse alone, but rather seems to carefully observe and consider what is necessary before acting, so he is not someone who can be judged by appearances alone. He comes from a wealthy family, and his ability to judge people may have been inherited from his parents.

Shirasagi Chisato from Pastel Palettes is a character who works as an actress. However, she is childhood friends with Seta Kaoru, and it has been revealed that they are family friends. Seta Kaoru usually behaves coolly, but Shirasagi Chisato knows her background and the events of her childhood, so it could be said that she has a hold on her weaknesses. When Shirasagi Chisato makes a slightly sarcastic remark, she flinches in a way that she doesn't usually do, making for a precious moment.

Her acting seems to have captivated many women, with Poppin Party's Ushigome Rimi and Afterglow's Uehara Himari appearing to be crazy about her. With beautiful looks that rival any man's, it's not uncommon for women to faint when they're in her presence, making her one of the most popular characters in "BanG Dream!".

She's classmate with Kasumi Toyama of Poppin Party, but it's been revealed that the two were actually childhood friends. They were not aware of each other's existence until they ended up in the same class, but when Kitazawa Hagumi heard her self-introduction on the day of the entrance ceremony, she noticed her and they were reunited after a long time. Kitazawa Hagumi also calls Toyama Kasumi "Ka-kun" and appears to call other characters by unique nicknames as well.

Hagu Kitazawa is also a member of the softball team and participates in Hello, Happy World!, led by Kokoro Tsurumaki. She plays bass, and she readily agreed, saying, "It seems easier to play with fewer strings than a guitar." However, the bass is a surprisingly difficult instrument to play, and Kitazawa Hagumi has repeatedly practiced the bass even in the midst of softball practice, and has grown to the point where she can play it, which shows that she is a skilled and enthusiastic person.

Kaon Matsubara is a second-year student at Hanasakigawa Girls' Academy. She is depicted getting along well with her classmate, Chisato Shirasagi. Hello, Happy World! Matsubara Kanon is probably the only one among the group with common sense, but she struggles to keep the band together with her junior colleague, Okusawa Misaki, who looks after her. As someone with experience playing instruments, she is driven above all by the feeling that "I have to do my best!" and does her best for the band. However, she is often intimidated by Tsurumaki Kokoro's forcefulness, and ends up spinning her wheels and often having to be saved by Okusawa Misaki.

As you can see, Michelle is a fictional character, as she is a costumed mascot. However, Kokoro Tsurumaki, Kaoru Seta, and Hagumi Kitazawa all recognize her as "Michelle." So, in an attempt to reveal her true identity for the first time, she removes her head in front of the three girls, which immediately leads them to ask, "Where has Michelle gone?" and go searching for her. From then on, Okusawa Misaki gives up on coming out about her true identity and decides to remain Michelle.
