The second season of Attack on Titan Season 3 has finally begun. As expected, it's high quality and incredibly entertaining! But, come to think of it, what was the situation? For those of you who are vaguely trying to retake the walls but don't quite remember, we'll give you a quick recap of the current state of the walls. Please bear with us!
First, a map and a super-brief synopsis
Eren and his friends originally lived in Shiganshina District. Volume 1 takes place in the year 845. A Colossal Titan suddenly appears in the Shiganshina District, destroying the outer gate of the district. The Armored Titan then appears, destroying the inner gate as well. As a result, humanity evacuates from Wall Maria to Wall Rose. Five years later, Eren and the others graduate from training. Meanwhile, the Colossal Titan appears and destroys the outer gate of Trost District. However, Eren uses his Titan powers to seal the hole with a rock. Later, Titans appear inside Wall Rose, but this is not because a hole was created somewhere. And now, humanity's battle to retake Wall Maria has begun in the Shiganshina District, and this is the start of this anime.
The Operation to Retake Wall Maria and Hardening
When Eren first planned the operation to retake Wall Maria, he conducted an experiment to harden the wall, but it didn't work. He later discovered that the Reiss family was the true king. He drank the contents of a bottle labeled "Yoroi Brown" in the Reiss family chapel, which enabled him to harden the wall. For this operation, Eren had a solid plan: to seal the wall by hardening himself.
Three Walls
The outermost wall, "Wall Maria," is 3,200 km long, 50 m high, and 10 m thick. All three walls are the same height. As the outermost wall, it is the most vulnerable to Titan intrusion and has been repeatedly destroyed and reinforced, making it the most fortified. Furthermore, because it is the area most likely to come into contact with Titans, it is primarily inhabited by the poor. "Wall Rose" is the middle wall. It is 2,400 km long. "Wall Sina" is the innermost wall. The wall is 1,570km long, and since the royal capital and the capital are located inside it, it has always been protected as a safe place. It is home to the wealthy, mainly the royal family and the Central Military Police. The distance from Wall Maria to Wall Rose is 100km. The distance from Wall Rose to Wall Sina is 130km. The distance from Wall Sina to the center is 250km, making the total length of the world approximately 960km. Incidentally, it has already been revealed in the battle with Annie that the wall is made of Titans.
