Are You Lost? is a work that began serialization in Young Magazine in 2017 and is scheduled to be adapted into an anime in the summer of 2019. The story begins when three high school girls, Onijima Homare, Suzumori Asuka, Kujo Shion, and Amaya Mutsumi, are stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash on their way to a school trip. It turns out that Onijima Homare has a wealth of survival knowledge due to the influence of her father, a former soldier. With her help, the four begin a survival life on the deserted island while waiting for rescue. In this article, we'll introduce one of these four, Suzumori Asuka.
Who is Suzumori Asuka?
Asuka Suzumori is always cheerful and energetic. However, she doesn't seem to be all that smart. She's a member of the basketball club and also the track and field club, and she has a G-cup bust. She has a rabbit on the front of her panties. Her forward-thinking personality doesn't lend her much to survival. However, she also has a caring side. When hunting a rabbit, she thinks of Mutsumi, and when she gets into an argument with Homare, she secretly brings some wild boar meat with her. However, she can't help but feel like she lives life on impulse, and when Shion says she wants something to eat, she often nods along without thinking, causing trouble for those around her.
Suzumori Asuka and Water
When they were stranded on a deserted island, everyone except Homare was barely hydrated. (Homare had replenished her fluids with flying fish blood, etc.) In the midst of this, Asuka and Homare decided to go into the forest to help Mutsumi, who was suffering from severe dehydration. However, even Asuka, who was confident in her physical strength, was unable to keep up with Homare, and gradually became in danger of dehydration. At that moment, Homare discovers some damp soil. She wrings it out with her sock and gives it to Asuka to drink. Meanwhile, rain begins to fall, and the four of them are safe and sound.
Suzumori Asuka Who Doesn't Learn
One day, on a rainy day, Asuka decides there's no point worrying about getting wet, so she goes into the ocean. However, as she enters the water, lightning strikes and causes a power outage. Asuka is safely rescued by Homare and the others. However, the next day, Asuka goes into the ocean as if nothing had happened. When Mutsumi asks if Asuka isn't scared after what happened yesterday, Shion replies that she won't learn from it. Then, in the middle of the ocean, Asuka is stung by a jellyfish.
Asuka Suzumori's Famous Scene
Asuka Suzumori and the Frog
Asuka happens to come across a toad. Knowing it's a valuable food source, Asuka uses her skirt to capture it safely, careful of its poison. However, capturing and eating a frog requires killing and butchering it. But who? How? Perhaps, as she ponders this, she begins to feel a little sorry for the frog. Asuka secretly lets him escape. Mutsumi understands her feelings, while Homare doesn't.
Asuka Suzumori and the Shark
The four girls head out to sea and start paddling their raft to try some fishing. However, they encounter a tiger shark. Their raft is attacked by the shark. Meanwhile, Asuka... She pokes her bottom out to the edge of the raft. Yes, it's a natural phenomenon. Mutsumi suggests that sharks react to bodily fluids, so if they put them in a plastic bottle and throw it somewhere else, they'll be able to escape. Homare agrees. But in reality, it's a big deal... Reluctantly, he gives it to Homare, and by throwing it, the four of them are safe.
Suzumori Asuka and the Rabbit
A rabbit is caught in a trap. Mutsumi desperately tries to kill the rabbit, but it doesn't seem to survive. Asuka has a timid side, as seen when she intentionally set a frog free, but thinking of Mutsumi, she makes up her mind. They successfully hunt a rabbit, bring it home, and enjoy meat for the first time in a while.
After arguing with Honoka
On the day it's discovered that a rescue team has arrived on the island, Honoka feels responsible for preventing the rescuers from finding them. So Honoka suggests that they live separately on opposite ends of the island, which leads to an argument with Asuka. In the end, Honoka and the other three end up spending the night together, but Asuka, as always, visits her with dried wild boar meat. She quietly leaves behind the word "kue" (quest) written in stone. Such is the kindhearted Asuka.
Suzumori Asuka's Final Thoughts
No matter what, she's a caring, friendly character, hot-tempered but also easily scared of the ladies, yet lovable. Her energetic, busty personality matches her perfectly. We can't wait to see their slapstick antics!
