"All I Need is a Little Sister" is an anime based on a light novel published by Gagaga Bunko (Shogakukan). The protagonist of this work, Hashima Itsuki, is a young light novel writer who is quite popular and has a promising future. However, Itsuki is a pervert who loves his little sister, and the novel he writes is a very unique work that only features naked little sisters. Moreover, even though there are many beautiful girls around him, he is a pervert who is more in love with his imaginary little sister. Various novelists and manga artists appear around Itsuki, but here we will introduce Fuwa Haruto, a light novel writer who is a good friend of Itsuki and made his debut at the same time.

Haruto Fuwa is a light novel writer who debuted at the same time as the main character, Izuki Hashima, and is more popular than Izuki. He has a calm, cheerful, and unassuming personality, but as a light novel writer, he is a big otaku and apparently has a ton of erotic games at home. He looks like an intelligent, good-looking guy, but he only recently discovered his love for fashion, and made his college debut late. By the way, he also has a cheeky younger sister, and Izuki, who loves younger sisters, is jealous of him.

【Imouto Sae Ireba Ii.】What is Haruto Fuwa's style?
Haruto Fuwa likes to create template works that are sure to be popular after thoroughly researching popular characters and world settings. He seems to like works in which many cute girls make an effort and end up happy. However, while he has gained a certain level of popularity, he is often criticized as an unoriginal author who only creates template works, and he himself is concerned about this.

On the other hand, fans call the protagonist Izuki a genius for his innovative setting in which the younger sister always appears completely naked, and although few people can understand it because it is so innovative, he is said to have a bright future compared to the unindividual Haruto, who debuted at the same time. Haruto, who is popular but unindividual, and Izuki, who is moderately popular but unique, are contrasting writers, and they are both good friends but also consider each other as rivals.

Fuwa Haruto debuted at the same time as Izuki, but due to the difference in popularity, his light novel was adapted into an anime first. However, the finished anime was terrible and was harshly criticized by fans. Even though they tried to pretend nothing was wrong, Haruto, who is a serious person who loves his work, was hurt, and Izuki and the others couldn't think of anything to say.

Kyo tried his best but failed to get Haruto into an anime, but he understood Haruto's feelings better than anyone else and shed tears, saying that it was painful to fail. Moved by this, Haruto began to be conscious of Kyo and even began to ask Izuki for advice about love. And after his anime adaptation ended in failure, Haruto decided to fall in love and change himself in order to be happy, but he sensed that Kyo had feelings for someone other than him and was unable to be proactive.

Haruto is a considerate character, and he often suggests playing games in his free time. For this reason, many games appear in All You Need Is a Little Sister, and most of them are suggested by Haruto. The games range from real ones to original ones, and this game battle makes All You Need Is a Little Sister even more interesting. Games are synonymous with Haruto, so I'll introduce the games that appeared in the series.
Turtle Soup (Lateral Thinking Puzzle)

The game that appeared in the first episode was "Turtle Soup." Its official name is a mystery game called "Lateral Thinking Puzzle." First, the questioner talks about a mysterious case, and the other contestants ask questions that can be answered with YES or NO. The game gradually reveals the whole story of the case, but it's a very brain-intensive game and would be easy if the questioner was at a lower level, but Haruto's questions were difficult and both Izuki and Kani had a hard time with them.
Cat & Chocolate (Catchoko) School Edition
The "Cat & Chocolate" School Edition, which appeared in episode 6, is a card game in which you solve various incidents that occur at school using the cards you have and the number of cards specified. And whether the case is solved or not is decided by majority vote of the other players, which is a bit ambiguous, but that's what makes it fun. It's actually a card game released by a game company called Kozaiku, and you can buy it.
T (Table Talk) RPG

The tabletop RPG featured in episode 7 is a game where each player creates their own character setting and progresses by making various decisions through human conversation and rolling dice without using a game console. The appeal is that players can become swordsmen or wizards and go on adventures with their own settings. The flow of the scenario is managed by a person called the game master, but the players act quite freely, so the setting can sometimes fall apart.
Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time is a card game that appeared in episode 11, in which players become storytellers and create a story. Each player is dealt one ending card and several story cards, and the player who uses all of their story cards and finally concludes with the ending card wins. If you have a story card related to a keyword that appears during the story, you can take over the narrator's position. It's interesting to see how the story is constructed while competing for the narrator's position.
The Life of a Light Novel Writer

The final episode featured an original game of life from Imouto Sae, called "The Life of a Light Novel Writer." This board game is not won by becoming rich, but by the person who has the most happiness points at the end (there is also a popularity metric). Money, popularity, and happiness points are raised, and the person who has raised the most happiness points within 30 rounds wins, but it's a pretty tough game and all the characters' happiness levels are negative (lol)

There are four squares: major labels, mid-sized labels, small labels, and online novels, and you start by winning a newcomer award at each label (there is no newcomer award for online novels). To win a newcomer award from a major label, you must roll a six on the dice, which is a difficult feat, but Kani won the award from a major label on his first try. However, Izuki never got a six no matter how many times he rolled the dice, and people around him advised him to give up on the big labels, so he started late.

Haruto Fuwa's voice actor is Satoshi Hino, who also played Hiraga Saito, the main character in "The Familiar of Zero," and Sakai Yuuji, the main character in "Shakugan no Shana." Hino originally wanted to be a stage actor, but after dubbing a foreign drama, he decided to become a voice actor. He had no connection to anime, but he became popular as an anime voice actor as well.
