A third-year student at Shinjo Towa High School. He has played with his classmate Katsumi Takahashi since middle school. In the last Inter-High, he started on the bench because he injured his knee ligament before the preliminaries, but he couldn't bear to see his team at a disadvantage, so he joined the game halfway through. He is a player with such skill that the atmosphere changes the moment he enters the court, and he is good at turning around after swinging left and right. When he entered high school, there were only two members on the team, Takahashi and Kojima, so he always practiced 1-on-1. Despite his injury, he contributed to cornering Kuzuryu High School. He participated in the Monster Bash as a member of the Gorillaz. After fully recovering from his injury, he showed his true potential. He is a fearsome player, with a height of 193 cm and excellent technique.
14th place: Hanazono Momoharu, Kuzuryu High School

A player who serves as the captain of the Kuzuryu High School basketball team. With his incredible jumping ability, he is unrivaled under the basket. Although he has a weakness in that he is not good at shooting, his strength in rebounding and blocking makes him an indispensable player for Kuzu High as an inside player. His jumping ability is so impressive that it astonishes Chiba of Shinmaruko High School, who is over 2 meters tall, and center Yakuma of the powerful Yokohama Daiei High School. He also demonstrates reliable leadership as the captain of Kuzu High, and is able to raise the morale of the team with Momoharu's words. Recently, his shooting has also improved, and he is now able to make free throws, showing the effects of his shooting practice.

13th place: Shigeyoshi Kaname, Kuzuryu High School
Source: Ahiru no Sora ©Takeshi Hinata, Kodansha / "Ahiru no Sora" Production Committee
A player who plays in the center of the Kuzuryu High School basketball team. He is a threat to opponents with his play that makes the most of his 198cm tall height and his specialty hook shot. In middle school, he was a player at the powerful Saijo Junior High School, but he could not bear the excessive expectations that came with his height and dropped out of basketball. When he entered Kuzu High, he was in the chemistry club, but he started playing basketball again after being recruited by Sora. His specialty is the hook shot that makes use of his height and long limbs, and he can even shoot a sky hook that is theoretically impossible to block. He is also highly adaptable to tactics, and his overall strength as a basketball player is evident when he reacts to Chiaki's tricky pass in one shot. His weaknesses are his lack of stamina and his lack of strength, which often turn out to be his downfall in the second half of the match.
12th place: Kurumatani Sora, Kuzuryu High School
Source: Ahiru no Sora ©Takeshi Hinata, Kodansha/Ahiru no Sora Production Committee
The protagonist of Ahiru no Sora. Despite being at a disadvantage when it comes to playing basketball, at only 150cm tall, she uses her highly accurate three-point shot to compete against much bigger opponents. Her three-point shot accuracy is the best in the series. She also incorporates the stop-and-shoot technique she learned from Taro Kamachi of Kitasumiyoshi High School and the quick shot she learned from Coach Sakata, making her natural three-point shot even more of a threat. In addition to her three-point shots, she also shows great game-making ability with her low drive and point guard position, which she started working on in the middle of the series. Her teamwork with Chiaki is excellent, and there is a memorable scene where she makes a reliable three-point shot in response to Chiaki's perfect message. Although she is small in stature, she has the biggest heart and is a reliable presence on the court.

11th place: Katsumi Takahashi, Shinjo Towa High School

Captain of Shinjo Towa High School. He enrolled in Shinjo Towa High School with Kojima, which had no members, and created a basketball club from scratch. He is so talented that he is described as a "hidden talent" compared to Takahashi of Shinmaruko High School. With his height of 191 cm, he stands out for his physique, blocking Mokichi's hook shot and making dunks. He also has excellent skills as a point guard, and is a first-class player in all areas, including driving in, shooting, passing, and captaincy, making him a natural all-around player. Mokichi has a strong admiration for Takahashi, and he is such a great player that Sora gets nervous just talking to him. His overall ability is among the best in the series.
10th place: Hanazono Chiaki, Kuzuryu High School
Source: Ahiru no Sora ©Takeshi Hinata, Kodansha / "Ahiru no Sora" Production Committee
A player on the Kuzuryu High School basketball team, he plays as point guard, small forward, center, etc. He has a natural sense for basketball, and has high ability as a playmaker, tricky passing sense, excellent reflexes, and intuition. Chiba, who played against him in middle school, said, "I've never seen a better player than him." He's so skilled, he doesn't have much speed, but his ability more than makes up for it, making him an indispensable player for Kuzu High. Many people were fascinated by the elbow pass that Chiaki showed in the beginning of the story. Also, at first he played as a point guard and playmaker, but from the middle of the game he takes advantage of his physique and shows an attitude of going for the points himself as an inside player.
9th place: Yoshitake Magumi, Tsurukane Technical High School
Source: Ahiru no Sora ©Takeshi Hinata, Kodansha/"Ahiru no Sora" Production Committee
A player who wears the captain's number for Tsurukane Technical High School. In middle school, he was a player who led the team that always lost in the first round at Seno Junior High School to the prefectural tournament. Although he was talented enough to go on to a strong basketball school, he enrolled in Tsuru Technical High School, where he could obtain a qualification while still in school, in order to take over his family's auto repair shop. In the story, he played against Kuzu High in a practice match. His excellent driving ability and outside play, which Sora describes as "unstoppable even when he knows it's a shot," make him a threat to Kuzu High alone, even though Tsuru Technical High School is full of beginners. His ability is well-known, and if he had gone to a different high school, he would have become an incredible player.
8th place: Akihito Ninomiya, Kawasaki Kikugawa High School
Source: Ahiru no Sora ©Takeshi Hinata, Kodansha / "Ahiru no Sora" Production Committee
He is a point guard at Kawasaki Kikugawa High School, and is skilled enough to be selected as the best player in the junior high school nationals. He uses street-like techniques to toy with opponents, and although he is not blessed with a large physique, he is a player who is a threat to opponents. He has excellent driving, passing, and shooting skills, and is the type of player who can completely change the atmosphere of a game just by stepping on the court. His family transferred schools a lot, so he joined the basketball club, but he kept moving forward and then had to transfer again, so he stayed away from club activities. However, he decided to join after being strongly recruited by the Kikugawa High School basketball club. In the game against Kuzu High, he had a heated battle with Sora for the right to go on a date with the manager, Nanao Nao.
7th place: Kabachi Taro, Kitasumiyoshi High School
Source: Ahiru no Sora © Hinata Takeshi, Kodansha / "Ahiru no Sora" Production Committee
He is the ace of Kitasumiyoshi High School, and although he is not blessed with a height of 174 cm, he produces a lot of points with his rare physical ability and high driving and shooting ability. His specialty is stop-and-shoot, and because he places too much importance on speed, his form is always all over the place, but despite that, he often scores. He's usually a narcissistic and annoying character, but when it comes to matches, he becomes a threat to his opponents. In a match against the powerful Yokohama Daiei High School, he lost, but he fought on equal terms all by himself, demonstrating his ability to rival the ace of the powerful team.
6th place: Shigenobu Yakuma, Yokohama Daiei High School
Source: Ahiru no Sora ©Takeshi Hinata, Kodansha / "Ahiru no Sora" Production Committee
A center player for the powerful Yokohama Daiei High School. With incredible physical ability, he has the jumping power to jump over the hoop while holding the ball. At Daiei, he played center, but he was originally a forward, and he has acquired high scoring ability through outside play and baby hooks. At first glance, he may look slender, but he has a lot of power and is not inferior to Momoharu. The fact that he is a regular player for Yokohama Daiei High School despite being a second-year student shows that he is a very talented player.
5th place: Tokiwa Tokitaka, Shin-Maruko High School
Source: Ahiru no Sora © Hinata Takeshi, Kodansha / "Ahiru no Sora" Production Committee
He is the point guard and ace player at Shin-Maruko High School. In the match against Kuzu High, he found out Sora's weakness, and in the match against Kitasumiyoshi, he achieved an astonishing triple-double (double-digit results in three of the five categories: points, assists, rebounds, steals, and block shots). He originally liked bands and had no intention of playing basketball in high school, but he joined the team after Chiba's persistent invitation. In the match against Yokohama Daiei High School, he faced off against Shiraishi, the team's ace. He is one of the players who can compete on equal terms with Daiei's Shiraishi.
4th place: Natsume Kenji, Kuzuryu High School

Natsume Kenji is a classmate of Sora on the Kuzuryu High School basketball team. He is a player with exceptional basketball sense and high scoring ability. He has always had absolute confidence and pride in basketball, which led him to be aggressive and uncooperative, but he gradually became more tolerant and was able to play as a team. He's a versatile point getter who can drive in and take three-point shots, allowing him to compete on equal terms even with strong opponents. As Kuzu High's ace, he's an indispensable player for the team.

3rd Place: Shinichi Chiba, Shin-Maruko High School
Source: Ahiru no Sora ©Takeshi Hinata, Kodansha / "Ahiru no Sora" Production Committee
The captain and center of Shinmaruko High School. With his blessed height of over 2m, he has absolute strength on the inside of Shinmaruko High School. In middle school, he was confident that he could beat anyone in terms of technique, but because of his short height, he was not allowed to play in games for many days. At the Inter-High, he fought a close game against Yokohama High School until the very end, but lost by a narrow margin. Not only is he a talented basketball player, but he also has great leadership skills as a captain, and Sora describes him as "the ideal captain."
2nd Place: Fuwa Hyou, Yokohama Daiei High School
Source: Ahiru no Sora ©Takeshi Hinata, Kodansha / "Ahiru no Sora" Production Committee
He is a talented player who has been a regular player since his first year at the powerful Yokohama Daiei High School, and has an astonishing record of 80 points in one game during his junior high school days. He is a player who specializes in individual skills, and has the physical ability to drive and dunk with an overwhelming force. A player who can make an opponent fall on their butt in a 1-on-1 is called an "ankle breaker." When Fuwa visited Kuzu High, he challenged Natsume to a 1-on-1 match, and made Natsume fall on his butt while defending, resulting in a humiliating defeat. Although he is known for his selfish play, he is still considered the most important player for the team, which shows how skilled he is.
1st Place: Shiraishi Sei, Yokohama Daiei High School
Source: Ahiru no Sora ©Takeshi Hinata, Kodansha / "Ahiru no Sora" Production Committee
A small forward and ace at Yokohama Daiei High School. Nanao also talks about him as Chiaki's ideal player, and he can work inside and has high scoring ability as a point getter. He is one of the best high school students in the Kanto region, and is aiming to become an NBA player in the future. He's very stoic and doesn't show his emotions much. As a second-year, he was often seen appearing in the middle of games, but he has the impact and ability to change the flow of the game the moment he enters the game. In the match against Kuzu High, he said to Chiaki, who was matched up with him, "Let me show you where you are," and showed a furious attack that drove Chiaki into despair.
