The Science Side and the Magic Side

[A Certain Magical Index] features many characters with various powers. When you first meet a character, you're always excited to find out what power they possess. Broadly speaking, they're divided into the "science side" and the "magic side." To put it simply, the "science side" is psychic powers, and the "magic side" is magic, in other words, occult-like powers. When using magic, some people read grimoires, chant spells, use talismans, and even draw magic circles. They're like witches. From among them, the strongest characters will be selected to be decided! Now, let's announce the rankings.
[A Certain Magical Index] The 10th Strongest: Accelerator

In 10th place is the strongest man in Academy City, Accelerator. Currently, he has brain damage and is unable to use his powers as he would like, but he is competitive and has a strong will to win, so it is possible that he will make a comeback in the future! His ability is the same as his nickname, "One-Way Street (Accelerator)". By covering the surface of his body with all kinds of power, such as momentum, heat, electricity, and light, he can freely manipulate (convert) the direction (vector) of force. In other words, he can repel any attack and turn it into an attack. His fighting style is both bizarre and cool!
[A Certain Magical Index] #9 Strongest: Laura Stewart

In #9 is Laura Stewart, archbishop of the "Necessary Evil Boundary" (Necessarius) of the English Puritan Church. We haven't seen his power in a fight scene yet, but judging by his ability to converse on an equal footing with Academy City's Chairman of the Board, Aleisler Crowley, he is a man of considerable power. He will definitely appear in the future and is said to be a potential mastermind, so keep an eye out!
[A Certain Magical Index] #8 Strongest: Stiyl Magnus

Ranked #8 is Stiyl Magnus, a magician who belongs to the "Necessarius" (Boundary of Necessary Evil) of the British Puritan Church. He mainly uses rune magic (specializing in fire attribute). Despite his appearance, he is a serious and kind boy in the midst of puberty who has feelings for Index. He is a boy, after all (lol). At first he was thought to be an enemy, but now he is a good understanding friend and a devoted boy who even says he would die for Index. I'm sure he will continue to play an important role in the future, so please look forward to it!
[A Certain Magical Index] Ranked 7th Strongest: Kamijo Touma

Ranked 7th is our protagonist, Kamijo Touma. He's a second-year high school student living in Academy City, and his powers are the weakest, at Level 0. He doesn't have any psychic powers. However, Touma's right hand contains the "Imagine Breaker," which can nullify any supernatural power with a touch. Characters like this are called "gems in the rough." The most interesting thing about A Certain Magical Index is how many enemies he can fight with this power! There's no doubt that season 3 will be refreshing.
[A Certain Magical Index] Ranked 6th Strongest: Kanzaki Kaori

Ranked 6th is Kanzaki Kaori, a beautiful magician who belongs to the "Necessarius" (Boundary of Necessary Evil) of the British Puritan Church. He is one of only 20 saints in the world, and a former Pope (Priestess) of the Amakusa Cross Religion. He is extremely strong, but so strong that he only plays a minor role in the series (as he is easily defeated). I would love to see more battle scenes in season 3!
[A Certain Magical Index] Ranked 5th Strongest: Vento of the Front

Ranked 5th is Vento of the Front, a member of the "Right Seat of God" of the Roman Orthodox Church. This one is a woman (lol). "God's Right Seat" is a forbidden organization of four gods and angels (who always alternate) who exist to run the world. They are a group of eccentric characters with considerable fighting ability, and Vento in the front appeared in the second half of season 2. His ability is "God's Fire (Archangel Uriel)", but he is a wind user, not fire. He is a character who is sure to continue to play an active role in the future, and although he was killed in an instant by Acqua in the back in season 2, which we will discuss later, he still has a lot of power hidden within him. His dress is surprisingly cute, so be sure to check that out too!
[A Certain Magical Index] Fourth Strongest: Acqua of the Back

Fourth place goes to Acqua of the Back, a member of the Roman Orthodox Church's "Right Seat of God." He is the most sensible of the four and is a magical mercenary from England. He is also a good person who has saved many people from unjust tragedies during his career. Many people admire Acqua in the rear, and he is a character with a dignified appearance and aura. He is also a formidable opponent and will likely play an important role as an enemy in the future! Be sure to remember him. He's insanely strong!

In second place is Index, a member of the British Puritan Church's "Necessarius" (Border of Necessary Evil) and possessing perfect memory! She is the main heroine and soothing character of this work. Although she looks young, she is a magician who has memorized 103,000 grimoires. She usually plays a supporting role (because she is basically the one who needs to be protected and her existence itself is valuable), but when she shows her true potential, she has powers that surpass even that of demons. She uses her grimoires to fight by utilizing the most effective techniques and tactics against the enemy. However, she has no memory of what happened at that time. She becomes very robotic and scary, but her power is immense.
[A Certain Magical Index] The Strongest Ranked #1: Aleissler Crowley

Topping the list is Aleissler Crowley, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Academy City and the greatest modern Western magician, even mentioned in the Bible. Although he has only appeared to give instructions to Stiyl and others so far, he is one of the characters to keep an eye on and is a potential final boss. He is a human who belongs to neither male nor female, but to no other group. Although there is much mystery surrounding him, his powers are such that he can compete on equal terms with the magical side. It is no exaggeration to say that he is the strongest of all humanity. It will be exciting to see how he will interact with others from now on.
