This work features a whopping 100 heroines. However, what sets it apart from other romantic comedies is the seemingly unsound premise of "faithfully dating all the heroines, having them all appear in every episode without being background characters, and making sure all the heroines are happy." To begin with, it's not okay for a man to have a girlfriend and date other women, and if he did that, he'd have to make the story absurd to respect all the heroines, and with each new heroine the workload on the illustrators would increase, creating hell. Some people might think he should at least keep it like Gal Gun, but he's still forcing it on and continuing the serialization. As a result, the story is absurd every time, and the workload on the illustrators continues to increase.
Hajike Part 2: Three People Kissing at the Same Time
After a series of events, our protagonist, Koitaro, ends up legally dating two heroines. However, he loves all of them equally and doesn't prioritize them. However, a girl's first kiss is special, and who gets to kiss her first is a special case. So, to avoid creating a losing heroine, this was done. The visuals seem a bit odd in the first two episodes, but this is still better than nothing. As the number of heroines increases, the images get more and more bizarre...
Hajike Part 3: Everything tastes different...
Koutarou and his friends end up participating in a food fight festival. The rules of the first round are to see how much "rice" they can eat. They're allowed to eat side dishes, but they don't count as points. Kooutarou uses the fact that his beloved girlfriend has piled them on as a side dish to devour his rice. While most people would be put off, the girls are ecstatic to see Kooutarou like that!!!♡♡♡
Exciting Part 4: Super Saiyans!!!
In order to keep the girls' baseball club, which includes the ninth heroine, Sudo Iku, alive, alive, the heroines, all participating in a practice game, are struggling to survive. However, Koitaro's feelings seem to have been fully conveyed, and he responds with a lengthy message that fills the entire screen. At first glance, it's a scene that makes you wonder if there's some kind of bug or if the author is in the clear. I bet even the heroines are shocked by this.
Hajike Part 6: Heart-Pounding!!!
I wasn't shocked. The heroines' reactions to the shockingly long scenes, which were so long you couldn't tell if they were a scene from a manga or a browser crasher, were heart-pounding and I loved them. At first, some of the heroines would offer their own comments, but by this point, they all started acting like this. Bobobo had a god named Beauty, but in 100 Kano, Bobobo sometimes appears without Beauty, and there are increasingly scenes where the characters' mental state is questioned without anyone to make comments.
Hajike Episode 7: Blown Away by Cuteness
When everyone goes to karaoke, one of the heroines, who is taking a drug, fills the room with a drug that makes them hypersensitive to cuteness. This causes the small animal-like heroine's cuteness to explode, blowing everyone away and even turning them into scum like Yamcha. There are many things to point out, but no one does, and the punchline ends with an explosion that blows up the entire karaoke room.
Hajike Part 8: The Protagonist Spoils with His Prediction
The tenth heroine, Misugi Mimimi, is a heroine who is the embodiment of beauty, as acknowledged by herself and others. However, she says that she has only ever lost to one other person in terms of beauty. Koitaro casually mentions one of the heroines, Sakaeai Nagino, and his prediction comes true. While Koitaro committed the outrageous act of giving away spoilers with his prediction, the real problem is that he makes meta comments that go beyond the fourth wall as if it were natural!
Hajike Part 9: Nanono Stands Up
Since Misugi Mimimi's sworn enemy is Sakaeio Nagino, Nagino challenges her to a "Beauty Hunt" with the goal of expelling the Koitaro Family. While Nagino would have brushed her off as a waste of time, she accepts the challenge and transforms into the Girl of the Alps. Nagino, who is relatively sensible among the heroines, has become this, intelligent and cool. Perhaps this is inevitable, as this work begins with decent characters becoming obscure.
Hajike Part 10: The art style!
Kissing releases happy hormones, making you more beautiful. Koitaro and his family take turns kissing. The heroine in charge of medicine gives them a medicine that makes kissing feel amazing. So, this is what happens to the heroines whose happy hormones are released by kissing. Koitaro ends up looking like a Renaissance work of art.
Hajike Part 11: Doing Goku with the Genki Dama
The tsundere heroine, Tone Inda, accidentally drinks a drug created by the heroine in charge of medicine that turns her off. To turn Tone back into a tsundere, they had to somehow absorb the released tsundere factor. So, the heroines act tsundere to generate the factor, gather it in the same way as the Genki Dama, and collide with that energy, successfully turning Tone back into a tsundere. You may not understand what I'm saying, but even if you read it, you won't understand what they did.
Hajike Part 12: Girlfriend Armor
With the release of official 100 Kano merchandise, including acrylic key chains and square tin badges, it would be a bit strange to even hold a promotional event like this, but Koitaro, overwhelmed with love for his girlfriend, bought a ton of the merchandise and wore it under his clothes to create his own Girlfriend Armor. He says he started out with just a few pieces, but the more he wore, the happier he became, and he couldn't stop.
Exciting Scene #13: 12 Double-Page Spreads
By this point, everyone was having so much fun that they were no longer hesitant to kiss, but then, just like in the previous scene, they ended up kissing everyone. Well, the kissing scene itself is a typical romantic comedy, but with 12 double-page spreads, it just seems like a joke. Furthermore, at this point, there are only 12 heroines in the story. I wonder what would happen if there were 50 or 60?
Exciting Part 14: Lap Pillow
With so many heroines, the burden has increased, and Koitaro falls asleep from exhaustion. The conversation turns to whose lap he'll sleep on. In the process, he naturally becomes excited, floating through space, going bald, and transforming into an Eva, but in the end, they all end up sleeping on his lap at the same time. Koitaro begins to wish he could sleep on their laps, too, as these kind girls are so kind to him. And so this is what happens. Well, it's just a dream Koitaro is having, but I think it wouldn't be surprising if it became a reality someday.
