A rundown apartment building called Takeo-so (commonly known as Aotake). Living in Room 205 is Takashi Sugiyama (Prodigy), a third-year student in the Faculty of Commerce. Originally from the countryside, he used to walk about 10km along mountain paths to get to school. Takashi was nicknamed "Child Prodigy" because he was the best at everything he did in his hometown.

Takashi Sugiyama (Child Prodigy) was the first to agree to aiming for the Hakone Ekiden. Kiyose Haiji (Heidi) is not the type to joke around and is the first person to ask him for a favor, so he says it's okay to run. He has a kind-hearted personality and never forgets a favor.
