"Zombie Land Saga" is a groundbreaking zombie idol anime about a group of "legendary" girls who have become zombies and become idols to save Saga Prefecture. While the plot was kept secret during promotional periods, the first episode revealed that the heroine dies in a traffic accident just minutes into the story and is resurrected as a zombie, the story is set in Saga Prefecture, and it's an idol comedy, sparking much buzz.

Born September 2, 1964, died December 9, 1983. She was 19 years old at the time of her death. She was 155cm tall, weighed 40kg, and had measurements of 80(B)/55/84. Tatsumi describes her as a "legendary Showa-era idol." She was originally from Tokyo. She was a popular idol who sparked the idol boom of the 1980s. She had short silver bob hair, with some hair left longer in the back, tied in a pigtail with a blue ribbon. She wore a one-piece sailor uniform. Since becoming a zombie, her entire body has been patched up in places. She has an introverted personality, the epitome of a pure and innocent idol.

Zombie No. 4. According to the official website, she was 21 years old at the time of her death. She wears a sailor uniform. Her hair is gray and tied in two ponytails, giving her an overall slender figure. Compared to the other zombie members, she is characterized by significantly more patches, including her face, neck, and legs. Even her hands are different colors.
... However, after being creeped out by passersby and being shot by Police Officer A, he learns that zombies cannot integrate into normal society and reluctantly returns.

Relationship with the Others

After that, she went to the second live performance with almost no practice, but she was apparently moved by Sakura Minamoto's desperate rap and encouragement. Seeing the enthusiasm of the other members as they continued to practice, she gradually began to open up. Seeing Sakura and the others' hard work reminded her of her love of singing, and she decided to join in, thinking it would be fun to sing with everyone. She also tends to be shy, being overwhelmed by Tatsumi Kotaro's energy and often running away out of fear of Yamada Tai, who has a tendency to bite (Tae herself seems to like Junko, as she is constantly chasing her).

Seeing Sakura and the others working hard, Junko remembered her love of singing, and decided to join in, thinking it would be fun to sing with everyone. Although she boasts the best singing voice in the group, she primarily performed solo shows and never performed group dances during her lifetime, so she's only slightly better than Sakura and the others when it comes to the intense dance moves of modern idol groups. She uses her experience as an idol to instruct Sakura and the others.

As a legendary Showa-era idol...

This negative view of idols also stems from her negative views. In episode 3, when Kotaro announces that they'll be holding a guerrilla live concert the next day, she expresses her concerns about group activities, saying, "I've only ever performed solo." She also makes comments that could be interpreted as professional pride in her idol activities, saying, "Being an idol isn't something you can achieve by staying up all night," and "You shouldn't show the audience something you've only practiced half-heartedly."

Being with everyone isn't so bad...

At first, she didn't participate in the subsequent guerrilla live performance, just watching from the sidelines. However, perhaps touched by the other members' enthusiasm, she took over the singing after seeing Sakura forget the lyrics. Afterward, she admitted to Ai Mizuno, who was also negative about the performance, that "today's live performance was a disaster," but added, "Not being alone wasn't as bad as I thought it would be."

She has said that her favorite Disney character is Baymax. She has said that she likes sweets that contain tea. Until high school, she had short hair. When she joined an agency after graduating from high school, she thought that "girls should have long hair," but she decided not to push herself and cut her hair short.

What Franchouchou Needs

Franchouchou managed to pull off their performance with a slightly unconventional move. As Junko mentioned, their approach wasn't exactly conventional, but it was a success nonetheless. Speaking of Franchouchou's costumes, they were a bit too plain for idols. There were many other things missing. Even if they managed to solve their financial difficulties through marketing, there were still issues to consider, such as the direction of the costumes, the direction of the songs, and securing live venues (which would address the audience demographic and the direction of Franchouchou's performances). If Zombie Land Saga were to continue smoothly as a zombie idol franchise, there would be many unavoidable problems. Since Junko is the one who leads the team in terms of "singing," I hope she will play an active role.

Summary

Franchouchou's team spirit is gradually emerging. I think they'll be fully embarking on their idol activities from now on. When it comes to idol activities, the legendary Showa-era idol Junko Konno is likely to be a key player. Be sure to keep an eye on their future developments.
