Non Non Biyori is a story about the daily lives of girls living in the countryside. Each girl is very charming, making it an interesting story, but there are five students in the class compared to four girls. There is actually one male student, and his true identity is Koshigaya Taku, the older brother of Komari and Natsumi! However, he has an unusually low profile and barely makes any presence, appearing very little in the story. In fact, there are no scenes in which he speaks, and he has no voice actor... The table appears early on in the memorable first episode of Non Non Biyori! On the day Hotaru transfers to the school, the students are shown seated, and on the left side of the screen is Taku's figure... but about half of his body is cut off. From the first episode, Taku made a strong appeal of his lack of presence.

However, in reality, they were just joking and said that there was no such idiot in the world as the four of them walked to the playground, while Taku watched them from inside the hole they had fallen into.

At this time, he is pushing the two of them on his bike, so he must have a lot of strength.

Taku arrived at the beach, equipped with large goggles and a snorkel, and headed towards the sea with a motivated look on his face. But then Natsumi's hand creeps up on him... Taku's face is buried in the sand with his snorkel still on. After that, his existence is forgotten, and a small commotion occurs on the beach.

Everyone was eating udon at a soba noodle stand on the station platform. Of course, Taku is there too, although only his legs are visible. Later, the announcement of the train's arrival is heard, and the four girls frantically run and jump onto the train. What? Where's Taku?! Has he been left behind after all? They worry, but he has arrived before the other four, who have come running at full speed, and is sitting in his seat with his arms folded.

He leaves Komari behind at such high speed that he leaves behind a phantom of light and runs away stylishly.

Sensing the presence of someone, Komari quickly turned around and pointed, but there was no one there. She was so scared that she began to cry. But in reality, it was just a normally shadowy Taku passing by and then returning to normal.

Taku makes an incredible piece and Natsumi is excited to the max! However, the finished product was a beautiful girl figure... She was destroyed because she couldn't show it to Renge, and she was more depressed than she imagined, since it was her best work.

While making dried persimmons, Natsumi went to the room to ask if the preparations were finished, and there was Taku playing the guitar. He built a sturdy doghouse himself and sat upright in a corner of the classroom wearing a collar. It was a passionate performance, but needless to say, no one paid any attention to it.

For anime viewers, Taku has many scenes that are quite impactful, but in the story, his presence is so weak that it seems difficult for anyone other than Natsumi to even see him.
