It follows on from the scene where everyone sees the wooden carving of a starfish that Fuko gave them, which clearly looks like a star, and says "starfish" in unison, so maybe it's because I personally love this so much that I remember being very moved by it.

This is one of the most tear-jerking scenes in CLANNAD, and it's the line of Okazaki's father, Naoyuki. After injuring his son, Naoyuki was honestly not shown doing anything as a father, and in the end he was arrested on what seemed like a false accusation, and Tomoya treated him like a jinx. But when Tomoya met his grandmother and realized all the sacrifices Naoyuki had made to raise him, and Tomoya realized things now that he was a father himself, Naoyuki finally thanked him and they made peace. Naoyuki spoke these lines in the scene where Tomoya expressed his gratitude and they made peace. He had devoted his life to raising Tomoya, and his son told him that he had done everything he could. This is the climax scene of the Fuko scenario.
