Meliodas appears as a 152cm tall boy, completely unchanged from 16 years ago. This is likely due to his demonic bloodline, or perhaps the reason why Meliodas has survived for over 3,000 years. The exact reason for this is still unclear, but in the world of The Seven Deadly Sins, where many different races exist, it's probably not unusual for someone's appearance to remain unchanged. King looks like he's 1,300 years old, after all...

How has Meliodas managed to live for over 3,000 years? The answer lies in the curse placed on him. Meliodas is cursed with "eternal life," meaning he cannot die. As a result, every time he dies, he is sent to "Purgatory," where the emotions he developed before death are taken away and he is resurrected.

What Did Meliodas Do 3,000 Years Ago? Why Was He Cursed?

Meliodas' true identity is the son of the Demon King. 3,000 years ago, during the Holy War that sealed away the Demon Clan, Meliodas fell in love with Elizabeth, a member of the Goddess Clan (Elizabeth's previous life). As a result, Meliodas committed the crime of "alongside the Goddess Clan, despite being a Demon Clan member, and then betraying and killing his own people." He was cursed with "eternal life" by his own father, the Demon King.
