Mika's Mysterious Character
Mika, who first made her full appearance in the film, is the captain of Continuation High School. She's a girl with a unique way of speaking, values, and worldview. Her trademarks are her kantele (a traditional Finnish instrument) and tulip hat. She ponders what life is about through tank driving, and shares this with her tank crewmate Aki. She pursues tank driving because "tank driving is filled with the important things in life," and when she came to help Oarai in the University Selection Tournament, she "was carried away by the wind." She's a mysterious, free-spirited girl who doesn't talk much, describing herself as "an anonymous girl from Continuation High School."
Show your true colors! Mika's Achievements
She appeared to watch the exhibition match celebrating Oarai's victory. When Aki asked her why she didn't participate, she declined, saying, "Now is not the time (or important time)." She was originally eligible to join Continuation High School instead of Chi-Ha-Tan. Although she was thought to not participate in the University All-Star Game, citing her "disagreement with ephemeralism," she decided to participate, as mentioned above, citing her "flowing with the wind." She was assigned to the Dandelion Company during the match. While advancing through the marshes, she encountered the University All-Star Rumi Company and was held up. Meanwhile, to track down the mysterious artillery attack that had attacked the Sunflower Company, she formed the Acorn Platoon (CV-33, Type 89, Hetzer, BT-42) and discovered a Karl self-propelled mortar. While she commented that she "doesn't think there's any point" in the "Deadly Receive" strategy devised by the Duck Team, she decided to "trust their judgment" and participated in the operation. With Mika's kantele playing in the background, she destroyed two superior Pershings. Meanwhile, the Turtle Team destroyed the Karl, achieving a spectacular success. The BT-42 was destroyed by the remaining Pershing, and finally raised the white flag. After being defeated, the BT-42 was loaded onto a Wisco-class landing craft and quickly returned from the match venue.
An unexpected side of Mika
Although Mika appears calm and collected throughout the story, the drama CD reveals her surprisingly greedy nature. He quietly takes home the rations that other schools brought to the University Selection Tournament, secretly snacks on Aki and Mikko's food, and even eats the abalone and other ingredients that Mikko has caught without permission. Are they short on food as the three of them travel freely?
Mika in the Final Chapter
She makes comments suggesting she won't participate in the "Infinite Track Cup" winter tournament. Aki asked her to participate, and she came to watch Oarai's match, so she might participate if she changes her mind.
Mika: A Mysterious, But Capable Girl
Mika is a girl who exudes a mysterious aura and acts freely. However, he also has a playful side, such as snacking on food and saying he's not enthusiastic about it, but actually participating in the missions with a positive attitude. However, in the spin-off work, he is recognized as an ace by the former captain of Continuation High School, and he gives Kuromorimine a hard time in a practice match, and in the main story he singlehandedly destroys three powerful Pershing tanks, demonstrating his considerable abilities. We can't wait to see what he does in the final chapter.
