Code Geass has a huge cast of characters. I'm sure some of you have a favorite character. This time, I'd like to introduce my top 5 favorite characters, focusing on male characters!
5th Place: Schneizel el Britannia
The second prince of the Holy Britannian Empire. He possesses exceptional talent in politics and military affairs and serves as Prime Minister. He is considered the person closest to becoming the next emperor. He has a gentle personality, and when you look at how he treats women, such as Nina, he is very gentlemanly. However, he is also cold-hearted and will use any means to achieve his goals, and he has no attachment to his own life, so people around him sometimes call him empty-headed and heartless. Don't you think his dangerous side, hard to imagine from his appearance and friendly nature, is what makes him so appealing?
4th Place: Suzaku Kururugi
Suzaku is a very sincere, righteous, and kind person. He can sometimes be a bit naive and unable to read the situation. However, he harbors a deep darkness, and his suicidal side often shows. In addition to his earnest and kind personality, he's also highly skilled in combat and cool! Surely many people want to accept Suzaku's vulnerable side and support him?!
3rd Place: Jeremiah Gottwald
Although Jeremiah is often called "Mr. Orange" and mocked for his comical nature, he's actually quite an impressive character, boasting exceptional combat abilities and earning the respect of even the Knights of the Round Table. He's also deeply loyal to Marianne, and even after his death, he swears his loyalty to Britannia despite regretting not being able to protect her. Plus, he's a Margrave and holds a high rank, making him a highly recommended character. Since Lelouch and the others are students, he looks like a very old man, but he's only 28 years old, so he's still young, right?!
2nd Place: Seikoku
A military officer of the Chinese Federation, he possesses physical abilities on a par with Suzaku, and knowledge and political skills comparable to Lelouch. However, he is suffering from a lingering illness and is thought to have only a short time left to live. He is loyal to the Emperor and promises to show him the outside world. Seikoku was so cool when he staged a coup to stop the Emperor's arranged marriage! Seikoku is cool and it's hard to tell what he's thinking, but his deep feelings for the Emperor are truly wonderful!
1st Place: Lelouch
First place goes to our very own Lelouch. No matter what you say, Lelouch is the most popular after all. C.C., Shirley, Kallen, Rakuya, Milley. They all like Lelouch. I think Lelouch is cool, smart, and very wonderful. It's no exaggeration to say that even his middle school-like remarks are forgiven because he's Lelouch. It's no wonder he's so popular!
