【Episode 7】The Warmth of the Heart
A Sword Worth Kirito
Needing a new sword, Kirito visits Lisbeth, the weapon shop owner on the 48th floor. Lisbeth thrusts her sword, which she believes to be her best, but when Kirito tests its durability, it snaps in half, wounding her pride.
Craftsmanship
Lisbeth's best weapon is broken, but this ignites her craftsmanship. With the right materials, he can craft a more durable sword worthy of Kirito. He decides to join Kirito on his journey to the western mountains, where rare metals are said to be found...
Encounter with Dorando
Kirito encounters and fights a dragon that drops rare metals. However, Lisbeth is blown away by a gust of wind released by the dragon and falls into a large hole. Kirito falls into the hole to save her.
They are both safe, but unable to escape from the bottom of the hole, the two end up spending the night together there.
Why Kirito Saved Her
Lisbeth asks Kirito why he saved her. Given his past, Kirito replies, "Rather than leaving someone to die, I'd rather die together." Lisbeth then holds Kirito's hand and falls asleep, feeling the warmth of his words and body heat.
Escape Plan from the Hole!
The next morning, the rare metal they were looking for is found in the snow in the hole. The rare metal dropped by the dragon was the droppings of a dragon that had eaten a crystal. After jumping onto the dragon's back as it returned to its nest and escaping through the hole, they were able to defeat the dragon safely.
The Sword Made by Lisbeth
After returning to her workshop, Lisbeth resolves to confess her feelings to Kirito once she has forged a sword to her satisfaction. And so, a magnificent sword is completed. Upon seeing the sword, Kirito comments, "It feels like it has a soul in it."
A Ruthless Encounter
Kirito says he doesn't need money, but he wants to be his personal smith. While he's confused, Asuna, who has been looking for Lisbeth out of concern for her, arrives at the workshop. Seeing Asuna talking with Kirito, Lisbeth realizes that Kirito is the one Asuna likes. And then he jumps outside.
I want to thank Liz. I've always, always believed that I would rather die than survive alone. But when I fell into the hole, I was glad that we were alive together. It made me realize that I, and everyone else, are living for the sake of living. So, thank you, Liz.
I've been searching for something, too. Something real in this world. For me, it was the warmth of Kirito's hand. I'm okay. So please, Kirito, please end this world...
【Episode 8】Black and White Sword Dance
A Once-in-a-Lifetime Rare Ingredient
On his way back from completing the 74th floor, Kirito obtains some S-rank rare ingredient, "Ragout Rabbit." While he's at Egil's shop, wondering what to do with it, Asuna arrives.
Asuna has full mastery of her cooking skill, and Kirito asks her to cook for him in exchange for half the ingredients. Asuna invites Kirito into her room, saying she needs some cooking equipment.
The Perfect Meal
Asuna's stew was delicious, and the two enjoyed the S-rank ingredients. Over tea, Asuna suggested that Kirito join the guild, given the increased chance of irregularities occurring from the 70th floor onward. He stubbornly refused. Worried, Asuna forces Kirito to team up with her again.
Asuna, the One to Protect
The next day, Kirito arrives at the meeting place. However, Asuna appears to be running away from something. The one chasing them was Asuna's bodyguard, Kuradeel. Asuna was not particularly happy about the fact that the Knights of the Blood Oath had recently become a larger guild, and that executives now had bodyguards.
The Proposal for Diel
Kuradeel tries to take Asuna back to the guild headquarters, but Kirito, seeing Asuna's reluctance, steps in to stop him. Enraged, Kuradeel asks Kirito for Diel. Kirito's overwhelming strength is clearly at odds with his opponent. Kirito and Asuna then entered the labyrinth.
By chance, they found a boss room
Kirito and Asuna continued on their way to the 74th floor, the front line. By chance, they came across a door leading to a boss room. Although they had no intention of taking on the boss monster alone, they couldn't leave the room it was guarding, so they decided to take a quick look inside... Inside the door...
[Episode 9] Blue-Eyes Demon
The Strategy Team Gathers
Seeing the formidable boss, the two immediately retreated and returned to a safe area to rest. Then, Klein's "Furinkazan" guild and the Aincrad Liberation Army, SAO's largest guild, appeared.
Information Providing
The Liberation Army's captain, Kobatz, asks Kirito for information on the way to the boss room. Klein and Asuna say that's too easy, but Kirito generously provides the information. At the same time, he warns Kirito not to take on the boss lightly. However, seeing him leading the troops forward, Kirito and his group follow.
An Unexpected Boss Defeat
Kobatz and his men ignored Kirito's warning and continued fighting the boss. They tried to retreat, but the teleportation crystals were unusable in this room. The Liberation Army was defeated one after another, including Kobatz.
Asuna couldn't resist and charged into the boss, followed by Kirito and Klein.
In a dire situation...
Kirito engages the boss alone, slashing his sword to buy time for the Liberation Army to retreat. However, in his desperate situation, he utters a meaningful line: "I guess I have no choice but to use that..."
It turns out to be the rare skill "Dual Wielding." This is Kirito's hidden trump card.
A Close Battle
In the nick of time, Kirito defeated the boss. Kobatz and two other Liberation Army soldiers were killed in the battle. It was the first time since the 67th floor that a boss had suffered casualties...
And the extra skill "Dual Wielding" quickly became popular. Kirito became the center of attention.
Knights of the Blood Oath
Kirito, now the center of attention, was hiding in Egil's shop. Then, Asuna appeared, looking pale and saying, "Something terrible has happened." Heathcliff, the leader of the Knights of the Blood Oath, has been poached from his position as vice-captain by Kirito, but he declares that he cannot simply accept this...
Diel Proposed
Heathcliff proposes Diel to Kirito. If he wins, he'll accept his relationship with Asuna, but if he loses, he'll be forced to accept a condition he can't escape if he lets Kirito join the Knights of the Blood Oath.
Very well. If you want us to speak with swords, that's what I want. Let's settle this in Diel.
【Episode 10】Kurenai's Murderous Intent
Heathliff is too strong
Kirito and Heathcliff, the leader of the Knights of the Blood Oath, are set to face off against Diel.
Kirito's unique skill, "Dual Wisdom," is certainly powerful, but Heathcliff's unique skill, "Divine Sword," boasts overwhelming strength, allowing for both offense and defense.
A Heated Battle
With a large crowd watching, Kirito and Heathcliff were fighting evenly.
Kirito finally broke Heathcliff's defense, and just as he was about to land a blow, Heathcliff had dodged Kirito's sword. Kirito was defeated with a single blow.
Kirito Decides to Join
Kirito, as promised, joined the Knights of the Blood Oath. It's true that Kirito himself felt he had reached his limits when it came to solo combat. Kirito then tells Asuna about his past, the "Moonlit Black Cats."
I won't die. Because I'm the one who protects you.
Activities as a Knight of the Blood Oath
Shortly after joining the Knights of the Blood, Kirito begins training with Godfrey, who is in charge of commanding the Forwards. In order to reconcile with Kuradeel, who was tasked with guarding Asuna, Godfrey decides to form a party with the three of them and conquer the Labyrinth District.
Kuradeel's Trap
Kirito and his friends take a break to eat before entering the labyrinth, but Kuradeel has prepared a water bottle containing a paralyzing poison. Kuradeel kills Godfrey, paralyzed and unable to move, and also inflicts damage on Kirito. Kirito thought this was the end, but...
Kirito and Asuna
Kirito was saved just in time by Asuna's arrival. As Kuradeel begged for his life, Asuna hesitated. Kuradeel takes advantage of this opportunity, but Kirito manages to defeat him, even though his arm is cut off.
My life belongs to you, Asuna. That's why I will use it for you... No matter what, I will give it back to you. In that world
Getting Married
Asuna and Kirito were in love with each other. After a series of events, Kirito and Asuna were exhausted both physically and mentally. He proposed marriage and they moved to a house surrounded by forest and lakes in the southwest area of the 22nd floor.
Asuna, I want to be with you today, tonight
【Episode 11】The Girl in the Morning Mist
A Serene Atmosphere
Kirito and Asuna, who strengthened their bond after the Kuradeel incident and confirmed their feelings for each other, got married. Kirito temporarily left the Knights of the Blood Oath and began living in a log cabin on the lakeside they purchased on the 22nd floor. The two enjoyed their married life and spent peaceful times together.
Ghost Girl!?
After hearing rumors of a ghost appearing in the forest, the protagonist sets out and encounters a girl wandering the dimly lit forest.
The girl answers that her name is "Yui," but has no other memory. After Yui tells her it's okay to call them by whatever is easiest for her, she starts calling them "Mom and Dad."
For Yui
When they went to the "City of Beginnings" to search for Yui's parents and relatives, they found the "Liberation Army" there, trying to extort money and equipment from women and children under the pretense of paying taxes. Kirito and Asuna step in to help, but Yui naturally begins to say, "Everyone's hearts... I wasn't here. I was alone in the dark all this time..."
【Episode 12】Yui's Heart
To the Daycare
Sasha, who is protecting and caring for the children, visits, but says she has never seen Yui. Then, Yurielle of the Liberation Army arrives, asking for a favor.
The Liberation Army changed because of Kibaoh, and they tried to drive him out, but three days ago, the army's administrator, Thinker, fell into Kibaoh's trap and was left unarmed deep inside the first floor, asking Kirito and his friends for help rescuing him.
Yui's Advice
Yui assures Asuna, who is unable to believe it, that Yurieru is not lying.
Hearing Yui's words, Kirito and Asuna decide to believe Yurieru and cooperate in the rescue.
Entering the first floor of the underground dungeon with Yuriere and Yui, who has reluctantly tagged along, they encounter an unexpected enemy.
An Unexpected Enemy
A 60th floor class monster appears, but they easily overcome it. They find Sinker, who has taken refuge in the safety of Celia, and rush to his aid, only to find an unexpected enemy waiting for them.
Unable to analyze the monster's stats, Kirito determines it to be a 90-level monster.
Desperate Situation
Kirito and Asuna tell Yurieru and the others to take Yui and escape using the teleportation crystal.
Yui was sent flying by the monster's attack and suddenly stepped forward in a desperate situation. And finally, Yui defeated the monster...
Mom, Dad, I remembered everything now
Cardinal
SAO is controlled by a massive system called "Cardinal." A program codenamed "Yui" provides mental care to players. Yui's true identity is that AI.
The fact that she is unable to help the many players who are controlled by negative emotions causes Yui to accumulate errors and collapse.
A Ray of Hope
However, upon seeing Kirito and Asuna, Yui felt a sense of joy, peace, and other emotions beyond negative ones, and so she wandered the forest, hoping to get closer to them.
Seeing Yui like that, the two embraced her, saying, "She's our child."
Treatment as a Foreign Object
Yui used the GM's emergency console in the safe area to erase the monster. At the same time, her own program was also being checked, and she began to say that she was being treated as a foreign object and would be erased immediately.
Don't give up
Thinking that Yui will be erased, he will finally say thank you and a wish to Kirito and the others. However, Kirito tries to get Yui back. Try to use the console to interrupt the system before Yui's administrator privileges disappear. He then managed to separate Yui's program body and turn his mind into an object.
I'll go or until the day we meet
He vows to save Yui's data in Kirito's Nerve Gear and unfold it as Yui in the real world. Asuna also believed in Kirito's words and imagined the day they could meet one day. The two then call Yui "the first child" and vow to love him.
Summary
The story with Yui in the end makes me cry! I think the theme of "meeting and parting" was from episodes 7 to 12. In addition, various "front and back" expressions such as "betrayal and trust" are expressed, and Kirito and others have seen their mind and body train and grow.
There will be new developments from episode 13 onwards, so please be sure to check them out!
