Slave of the Demon Capital, an anime scheduled to air in Winter 2024, is based on the harem battle action manga currently being serialized in Shonen Jump! The beautiful girls who fight monsters with supernatural powers are captivating, the battle scenes are exhilarating, and the reward scenes, unique to this series, are so intense it's unclear how much of them will be able to air. It's a truly exciting series! Today, we'd like to introduce the characters who will appear in the first season of this anime!
Character #1: Yuki Wakura
The protagonist of this series. A third-year high school student about to graduate, Yuki was vaguely thinking about finding a job, but he ended up getting lost in a suddenly appearing demon city. There, he was attacked by a monster known as an ugly demon, but was saved just in time by Kyoka Uzen of the Demon Defense Force, who used her power "Infinite Chains (Slave)" to turn him into a slave in order to resolve the critical situation. Despite being a man, Yuki had gained overwhelming combat ability, and was scouted by Kyoka and hired as the dormitory manager for the Demon Defense Force's Seventh Division. He was a master of all things domestic.
Character #2: Kyoka Uzen
The protagonist of this work. She is the leader of the Seventh Division of the Demon Defense Force, possessing a noble and dignified personality. She possesses the combat abilities to face off against ugly demons without the use of supernatural powers, but her ability to strengthen and subjugate enslaved people, "Slave," is a recognized and unconventional ability. However, when she is forced to enslave Yuki Wakura to avoid a crisis, she becomes a fighting force beyond her imagination, leading her to scout her for a position in the Demon Defense Force. The power of "Slave of Eternity" requires that the slave be rewarded in proportion to their performance. In Yuki's case, this reward (erotic things) is something she subconsciously desires.
Character #3: Himari Azuma
A member of the Seventh Division of the Demon Defense Force, commanded by Kyoka. Though earnest, Himari is also proud and disapproves of Yuki, who has been assigned as a caretaker. Himari's family is a prestigious family known for their achievements in the conquest of the Demon Capital, and Himari is considered a failure by her family. Her ability, "Learning," allows her to copy the abilities of others, but in most cases the abilities are significantly weakened, so she can only use a limited number of them. After copying Kyoka's "Slave of Eternity" and fighting alongside Yuki, she begins to re-evaluate her own abilities.
Character #4: Shushu Suruga
A member of the Seventh Division of the Demonic Defense Force. She has a devilish personality and takes advantage of Yuki's weaknesses when he is assigned as a caretaker, trying to treat him like a slave. She intercepts the ugly demons that attack the dormitory, but is surrounded by multiple ugly demons and finds herself in a difficult situation. After being rescued by Yuki, she begins to develop feelings for Yuki. Her ability is the "Gyokutai Kakumei (Paradigm Shift)", which allows her to freely change the size of her body. Her fighting style is to grow to a gigantic size and fight using overwhelming power as her weapon.
Character #5: Yasushi Okawamura
A member of the Seventh Division of the Demon Defense Force. An 11-year-old elementary school student, Yasushi Okawamura is the youngest member of the Seventh Division. While some members are not happy about Yuki becoming the dormitory caretaker, he welcomes her and cares for her as a senior. He has an honest, cheerful, and kind personality, but his parents went missing in the Demon City disaster, and he wishes to search for them. She possesses clairvoyance and specializes in enemy reconnaissance. She is unsuited for combat, making her a non-combatant staff member.
Character #6: Izumo Tenka
Leader of the Sixth Division of the Magic Defense Force. An elusive personality, she is an honor student who excels at navigating the organization. She approaches Yuki out of curiosity and attempts to seduce her, but later develops genuine feelings for her, devoting herself to her and becoming a supporter of the Seventh Division. Her power is "Amenomitori" (Ame-no-Mitori), which allows her to teleport instantly. In addition to being able to teleport instantly, she can also cut through space and use it for attack. She can also teleport others by touching them.
Character #7: Azuma Yachiho
A member of the Sixth Division of the Demon Defense Force. She is the older sister of Azuma Marin of the Seventh Division. She is proud and looks down on her incompetent younger sister, but in reality, she is a siscon who adores her and is always concerned about her. Apparently, she behaves this way towards Himarin because she loves her and wants to bully her. Her ability, "Golden Hour of the East," allows her to rewind time for a few seconds by assuming a special pose. Due to its power, it consumes a lot of energy and cannot be used multiple times in a short period of time.
Character #8: Wakasa Sahara
A member of the Sixth Division of the Magic Defense Force. A laid-back, laid-back woman who loves to sleep and is lazy. Her ability, "Crazy Sheep," enhances her physical abilities for a predetermined period of time. Setting a shorter time period increases her physical strength, but she must wait three minutes before reusing it.
Character #9: Mysterious Woman
An ugly demon in the form of a woman. She pretends to know Yuki, but in fact she is Aoba Wakura, Yuki Wakura's older sister, who went missing six years ago due to a demonic disaster. After eating a peach in the Demon City, she took on the form of an ugly demon. Afterwards, she went into hiding in the Demon City to train herself to maintain her sanity and became a leader for the other ugly humanoid demons in the same situation.
Character #10Zenibako Coco
This ugly humanoid demon attacked the Demon Defense Forces with a mysterious woman. Her reason for attacking the Demon Defense Forces was because her comrade, Yuno Hanon, and other ugly humanoid demons had been subjected to brutal human experiments at the Onmyo-ryo research institute. She possesses the ability to manipulate bodily fluids, which have the effect of healing wounds.
Character #11Hanone Yuno
A humanoid ugly demon who opposes the Demon Defense Force alongside a mysterious woman. A former model, she is a beautiful woman with a high sense of beauty. She became a humanoid ugly demon after eating a peach while escaping the Demon Capital disaster. After being taken into care by the Onmyo-ryo, she was subjected to brutal human experiments. Using her ability to burrow through walls and the ground, she escapes with other humanoid ugly demons in the same situation, and then meets and travels with Aoba.
【Mad Capital's Slave】Season 1 Character Summary
Here's a list of the characters appearing in the first season of the anime "Mad Capital's Slave," scheduled to air in January 2024! It's still unclear how far into the original story the anime will go, but it will likely at least progress up to the conflict with the humanoid demons, and what happens after that is a mystery. There are still many fascinating characters, so I'd be happy if a second season were confirmed! The episodes scheduled to air in season 1 are also interesting, so it's a highly anticipated series!
