Plot summary of "The Genius Prince's Guide to Reviving a Nation Out of Deficit"!
With no money, national power, human resources, or major industries, the neighboring country is plotting to unify the continent, and on top of that, the powerful Earthwald Empire is also present. Furthermore, the Kingdom of Natra, whose king has fallen ill, is clearly doomed. His son, Crown Prince Wayne, is tasked with running the country in his place. Wayne, a genius with a brilliant mind despite his young age, is a wise ruler of his time, highly trusted by his subordinates and citizens. However, his genius intellect also makes him more aware than anyone that the Kingdom of Natra has no future. Wayne hopes to sell his country at any opportunity and use the money to live a comfortable life, but due to unpredictable changes in the international situation and unexpected consequences of his well-intentioned actions, he ends up increasing his reputation as king and leading the weak nation of Natla to prosperity.
Here's what makes The Genius Prince's Revitalization Strategy so appealing! Part 1: Become a prince and run a nation!
This work is about running a struggling nation, so politics, national strategy, and negotiation are major themes. At first, the protagonist has no intention of running the country properly and is willing to sell out at any opportunity, but halfway through the story, it becomes much more than just a story about selling out the country, and the main themes become the mutual probing and diplomacy between countries. This is a work that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys works that focus on the development of a country.
Here's what makes The Genius Prince's Guide to Reviving a Nation from Deficit So Great! Part 2: The Protagonist Gets Unexpectedly Thrown Around
The protagonist, Wayne, is a leader trusted by his people and subordinates. However, the Kingdom of Natra is a small country lacking money, human resources, major industries, and military power. He wanted to quickly sell his country and live a comfortable life with the money. Indeed, the Kingdom of Natra is an incredibly weak nation, so even becoming the leader of that country is like a punishment game.
I don't really want to work...
If this were a historical game, it would be like starting with the Anenakoji family. The protagonist, Wayne, is incredibly talented but lazy, and doesn't want to deal with the hardships of running a country in such dire straits. However, unexpected events occur, such as the sudden death of the emperor to whom the country is being sold, leading to a succession issue, and a mock invasion to set an example for his subordinates, only to find that the enemy is too weak and ends up capturing key points. Wayne's troubles never end. What's more, when he's put to work, he's incredibly talented, and ends up achieving unexpectedly great results, which leads to even more hardships.
The Genius Prince's Revival Technique from a Deficit Nation: Here's What Makes It Fascinating! Part 3: Something Like a Misunderstanding Comedy
The protagonist, Wayne, is essentially a sloth, unwilling to shoulder unnecessary hardships and prepared to abandon his struggling homeland. However, an unexpected turn of events and an unexpected situation force Wayne to fully utilize his abilities and achieve the best results. However, this is not what Wayne wanted. His excessive success leads to expectations from his own people and wariness from abroad. This situation not only ends up selling out the country, but also leads to even more hardship.
It wasn't supposed to be like this...
His subordinates and people from other countries see these actions as, "He read the trends perfectly and achieved the best results," or "Everything went according to plan, and everything was under Wayne's control." While this is how it may seem to an outsider, Wayne himself thinks things like, "How did it end up like this?" or "It wasn't supposed to be like this." That's what he thinks, but only Wayne and his closest associates know. It's amusing and hilarious how the public's perception of him differs greatly from his true self. All of these events began with unexpected events, and because they were so unexpected, they were the result of desperate maneuvering. However, it's satisfying and hilarious that, for some reason, they all end up being evaluated as if they were all in the palm of your hand.
