The anime adaptation of the school comedy "Komi-san wa, Komyusho desu." serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday will begin airing in October 2021. The highlight of the series is the cuteness of the protagonist and heroine, Komi-san, who has social anxiety, but the many characters surrounding her also make the work interesting. All of them are characterized by their unique personalities, and I would like to introduce them. In the second half of this article, we will introduce some relatively new characters!
Character No. 18: Kanami Satou
A female student sitting to the left of Komi-san when viewed from the front. She is very sweet to others and basically never refuses anything she is asked to do. She comes to school first thing in the morning to clean the classroom, and generally accepts any requests. Because of this, she was not good at asking others for favors, but when Komi-san asked her to tell her if she had anything to ask, it became a daily routine for everyone to clean up in the morning.
Character ⑲ Ushiota Kageko
A female student sitting behind Komi-san. She often talks with Sato-san and Maeda-kun, and is always poking fun at the extremely kind Sato-san and the mature woman-loving Maeda-san.
Character No. 20 Maeda Jukujoski Hoshio
A male student sitting in front of Komi-san. He likes mature women and has a wide strike zone. In his second year, it turns out he is known as one of the best sprinters in the school.
Character No. 21: Oyake Yuji
A boy with glasses, curly hair, a face that is unnecessarily strong, and a deep voice. He looks somewhat menacing, but inside he is a hardcore otaku. He proposes selling doujinshi at the school festival.
Character No. 21: End of the Century Man
A male student who looks like he's yelling "Hyahha" in Fist of the North Star. He has a very kind and shy personality. Apparently he actually has a girlfriend.
Character No. 23: Samurai Sam
A male student with a samurai-like appearance. He wears a topknot and ends his sentences with "GOZARU." On the school trip, he was in the same group as Oyake and Seikimatsu.
Character 22: Manbagi Rumiko
A female student who became a second-year student and sat next to Komi-san. After her close friend moved to another class, no one came near her because of her gaudy Yamanba makeup and gal language. The stress made her sick and vomited during class, but she confessed her feelings to Komi-san and became friends with her. She was shy and wore Yamanba makeup, but she appeared without makeup after everyone was put off by her makeup and Tadano-kun told her she was cuter without makeup. Later, he develops feelings for Tadano-kun and clashes with Komi-san, who also has feelings for Tadano-kun, but they reconcile and become close enough to be called best friends.
Character No. 23 - Komi Shosuke
Komi-san's younger brother. Like his sister, he is a handsome boy who is good at everything. Like Komi-san, he is quiet, but unlike Komi-san, he doesn't want to get involved with anyone, he likes being alone and is the type who can do anything on his own. He seems to have social anxiety, but he can talk if he wants to. When he goes to high school, he sits next to Tadano-kun's younger sister Hitomi. He thinks Hitomi is a crazy person.
Character No. 22: Hitomi Tadano
Tadano-kun's younger sister. A polite middle school student who is also very interested in her brother's love stories. She looks similar to her brother, but unlike her brother who is mediocre at everything, she is a genius with the athletic ability to compete in the prefectural judo tournament and communication skills and initiative that go beyond Namiki. After sitting next to Komi-san's younger brother at high school, she uses her ventriloquism skills to keep him company.
Character No. 22 Shibuki Ase
A female student who became Komi-san's classmate in class 2-1. A female student who is concerned about her sweatiness. She wears thick clothes even in summer so that her clothes don't become see-through due to sweat, which makes her sweat even more. She avoids other people because she doesn't want to bother them with her sweat. She doesn't like the heat because she sweats a lot, so she always keeps antiperspirant spray on hand. After taking refuge in the bathroom, she runs out of antiperspirant spray and meets Komi-san and Manbagi-san, who help her out, and they become friends. She uses antiperspirant spray in a flashy way. She becomes a bit of a concern after pairing up with Naruse-kun at the beach and a courage challenge, and being encouraged by him about her physical problems.
Character No. 22 - Shigejiri Miha
Assistant homeroom teacher for class 2-1. In her first year as a teacher, she teaches civics. She has a strict and strict personality that hates waste, and gives off a cold impression, but that's just her outward appearance; in reality, she's a lazy person who is slow to act. Even when she wants to do something, she can't put it into action, and ends up wasting time, and then she goes shopping in casual clothes and is found by Komi-san.
Character No. 21: Natsukido Rei
A girl who was left in the care of the Komi family during summer vacation. A second-grader. Because of her parents' work, she had to transfer schools many times, so she has a mature personality, speaks politely, and creates a wall around herself. In reality, she is a girl her age. She became friends with Komi within a week, and then left for America with her parents.
Character No. 23 Fukusuki Natsu
A male student who became a classmate of Tadano-kun and Komi-san in class 2-1. A male student who served as a judge in the summer uniform styling contest. It was thought that he just liked summer uniforms, but to be honest, it seems that anything is fine as long as it's light clothing.
Character No. 22: Ohai Tamaki
A female student in class 2-1 who became a classmate of Tadano-kun and Komi-san. She loves breasts and served as a breast judge in the physical fitness test and a judge for summer uniform style.
Character No. 23: Tonoi Toujou
A grateful male student with a face like a Great Buddha. However, his mind is full of worldly desires, and even though he was found by a girl looking for pornographic books on the riverbank when he was in junior high school, he is still searching for pornographic books with Ohai and Fukusuki.
Character No. 22 - Kamisato Festival
Kamisato Himiko's aunt, she hired Tadano-kun and the others as part-timers at the festival. At first glance, she seems normal and unlike her niece, she isn't shy, but she has a bad habit of getting excited and letting loose at festivals.
Character 23: Kiyosako
A female student with a clean freak and a strict personality. She ran for student council president, but because of her clean freak, she avoids getting involved with anyone. She hates things that are not fair, and is easily misunderstood because of her inarticulate behavior, but after the student council president election, she becomes friendly with her classmates. She has been friends with Ase-san since middle school, but she said something insensitive because of her clean freak (although they have made amends), and they have been estranged since then.
Character 22: Icho Setoka
Student council president. Kiyosato admires her for her unconventional personality and her unconstrained attitude towards common sense and rules, but in reality she is reckless and spontaneous, and is completely misunderstood. She has privatized the student council room and is holding a hotpot endurance contest.
Character No. 2 Nezuno Chika
A senior who competed with Komi-san as the anchor of the relay at the sports festival. A very passionate senior. He has a habit of comparing things to temperature.
Character No. 2: Emoyama Yuragi
A girl with long hair and mecha. Her hobbies are otaku hobbies such as novels and manga, and she likes emotional things. She understands most of the situation in her class, and even outside of her class. She gets moved when she sees emotional scenes. If she takes in too much emotional ingredients, her body can't keep up, and she was pushed to her limits by the emotionality of Tadano-kun and Komi-san.
Character No. 2: Takarazuka Maya
A handsome girl who played the prince in the play at the school festival of class 2-1. He is handsome in everything he does. The original is thought to be the Takarazuka Revue + Maya Miki.
Character No. 2: Toro Mitsu
A strangely seductive classmate in class 2-1. She's lazy and uses her seductiveness to seduce the boys in her class and have them carry her to the classroom or her seat. She teaches Komi-san and Manbagi-san how to seduce men, but it's unclear whether it was effective. She did pass.

We've put together a list of characters that appear in "Komi-san is a social anxiety disorder."! There are so many characters in this work, including those who only appear in one panel, that it wouldn't be surprising if an episode featuring them were to come out in the future. I'm looking forward to seeing the cast in the anime. This is the second half, and in the first half we're introducing characters who appeared early in the manga.
