Season 2 Episode 1: Magic Academy's School Festival

Volume 5 Cover

The school festival, held every two years at Magic Academy, is about to begin. Katarina, a foodie, is excited to set up a stall at the festival. She plans to sell the vegetables she grows herself, but those around her strongly discourage her. She manages to get her application approved by the student council, under the pretext that the vegetables will be used as ingredients for Maria's sweets. The student council has requested that the members perform a play together, and with so many signatures, it's a request that can't be ignored.

Katarina Runs Away from Marriage

On the day of the school festival, Katarina browses the stalls and enjoys the festival. Also attending the festival were First Prince Geoffrey and Second Prince Ian, both of Geordo's Alan's older brothers, as well as their fiancées Susanna and Serena. Also attending the festival was Sirius Deeks, also known as Raphael Walt, the former student council president who left the school after an incident. Raphael is currently under the care of the Ministry of Magic and was attending the festival as part of his job. Maria, who was with her, had decided to join the Ministry of Magic. However, Katarina realizes that if things continue as they are, she could soon marry Geordo. Thinking that even being a duke's daughter is a bit of a stretch, and royalty is a no-go, Katarina decides to enter the Ministry of Magic after Raphael suggests she might be able to postpone her marriage.

Magic Academy Festival ③

Villainous Lady Katarina

Just as the student council's play is about to begin, one of the actors falls ill and is unable to perform. Katarina is chosen to take on the role. The play was a Cinderella-like tale, with Katarina playing the wicked stepsister. Katarina, a clumsy girl, couldn't memorize long lines quickly and had to improvise, but her acting was so convincing it made her seem like a real villain at heart. However, after the play ended, Katarina was put to sleep and kidnapped.

Season 2 Episode 2: Captive Katarina

>□<

Katarina woke up in a private room with a maid. The kidnapping was planned by Serena Berg, the fiancée of the second prince, Ian Stuart, who was also present at the school festival. A suspicious man was also nearby. After Katarina went missing, her fiancé, Geordo, received a letter stating that if he wanted Katarina's safe return, he must renounce his claim to the throne.

Captive Katarina ②

Serena's Scheme

Katarina's confinement was comfortable, and she made no attempt to harm him. With delicious snacks, books to pass the time, and a capable maid to pamper her, Katarina is completely at ease, forgetting that she's under house arrest. Then Serena arrives and explains her purpose for kidnapping: to put Ian on the throne. Serena believes she has no charm or redeeming qualities, and those around her say she's unsuitable as a fiancé. However, she loves Ian, and she devised this plan to at least be of use to him.

Captive Katarina ③

The Man with Dark Magic

Serena is a kind and gentle person, so it's hard to imagine her committing such a heinous act. Katarina believes that the man next to Serena is manipulating her with dark magic, and asks him directly. The man says that he was sent by forces trying to put the first prince, Jeffrey, on the throne, and that they used dark magic to stimulate Serena's complexes and cause her to carry out the kidnapping in order to eliminate Geordo, who posed a threat. While naturally wondering why Alan was left out, she is hungry and asks for tea and food.

Season 2 Episode 3: Rufus and Katarina

A Man Who Has Struggled

The man with dark magical powers introduces himself as Rufus Broad. At first, he's politely rude, but Katarina's relaxed attitude leads him to become quite nasty. The man says he's originally from the slums, sold to a human trafficker, and then a series of events lead him to where he is today. Katarina, who is essentially an ordinary person, and Rufus hit it off and are having a long conversation when a Ministry of Magic official arrives to rescue Katarina. It turns out to be Lana, the maid who has been diligently taking care of Katarina.

Rufus and Katarina ②

Undercover Maid

Lana was originally a Ministry of Magic employee and Raphael's superior. When Rufus's kidnapping was discovered, he could have escaped, but he fell in love with Katarina and obediently allowed himself to be taken away by Ministry employees. Thus, the incident was resolved. Serena thought Ian didn't love her, but it turns out Ian was just the type to keep quiet, and he loved her, clearing up the misunderstanding. Rufus is later revealed to be one of the targets in the sequel to "Fortune Lover."

Rufus and Katarina ③

Perverted Brother-Concerned

The maid, Lana, was a Ministry of Magic employee calling herself Lana Smith, but in reality she was Susanna Randall, the fiancée of the First Prince, Geoffrey. Susanna is an expert in disguise and undercover operations, and was tasked with this undercover operation at Geoffrey's request. Her reason for doing so was to eliminate those who would harm his younger brothers. For his brothers' sake, Geoffrey had deliberately recruited a nobleman with a shady reputation, gathering evidence and carrying out a plan to eliminate him. Jeffrey's true nature was that of a perverted brother-concerned brother who loved his younger brothers.
