When an original manga becomes popular and is even made into an anime, it's bound to have a number of impactful scenes. Scenes of anger or tears, or, in boys' magazines, scenes depicting friendship, are common. Popular works are full of memorable scenes at various stages, including touching moments that make you laugh out loud! Of course, Eden's Zero is also home to many such memorable scenes, so today we'll be introducing you to some of Eden's Zero's more memorable scenes, as well as some slightly unusual and memorable ones.
The scene where Shiki says goodbye to the machines of Granbell
Shiki, who was picked up by the Demon Lord Ziggy, was raised in Granbell, a city inhabited only by machines, from an early age. To Shiki, all of the machines living in Granbell were his friends. However, when the machines were attacked by a virus, Shiki and his friends had to fight to protect Rebecca. Shiki's friends even expressed resentment toward humans, but after escaping Granbell on a spaceship, he thanked and farewelled the friends he had left behind and headed for Granbell from space. In reality, the machines were nearing the end of their lifespans and were simply acting out their rampage to send Shiki off on his journey. Everyone was saddened by Shiki's departure, and at the same time, the machines ceased operation.
The scene in which Lucy's personality changes drastically while holding a gun
In this scene, Happy is kidnapped by someone and a gunfight ensues. Rebecca had previously lost Happy in a traffic accident, and this time, when Happy is nearly caught in the crossfire, she holds him tightly and successfully rescues him. Rebecca says, "I'll never let you go," to which Happy replies, "I'm coming, Rebecca!" Happy then transforms his body into two pistols, and Rebecca, holding the gun-like Happy, goes on a rampage, uttering words resembling Tosa dialect. Finally, with the help of Shiki's Ether Gear abilities, he flies into the sky and repels the kidnappers, wearing a villainous face and yelling, "You idiot!" from above.
A scene where Wise "also" repairs Pino's leg
While Pino was held captive by Sybil, his left leg was torn off and replaced with a nail. Pino's other leg was also about to be torn off, but Wise witnessed the incident and rescued him just in time. Afterwards, Shiki and his friends defeat the Civil gang and escape into space, but their rampage leaves them pursued by the police. Wise then appears and uses his Ether Gear Machina Maker to modify the spaceship and escape the police. He also quietly repairs Pino's left leg. His "it's a service" line and other cool lines make this a truly cool scene.
The scene where Shiki and Pino bump fists
Pino appears early in the second volume of the manga, but even after being saved by Shiki, he doesn't smile for a while. He does look a little pleased when he shakes off the police, but he doesn't show any joy even when his severed leg is repaired. The moment Pino truly opens up and smiles is in volume 3, when Shiki says, "Pino (the machine) has a heart too." Not only Pino, but the Witch also react strongly to these words. And from the moment they clash fists, Pino begins calling Shiki "master" and becomes an android with a richer range of expressions.
The scene where Shiki uses his Ether Gear to fly and escape
Shiki and his friends arrive at the Guildst in search of the kidnapped Rebecca and Sister. They engage in combat with the fake Sisters. Just when they manage to repel the enemy and rescue the Sister and Rebecca, the Guildst is attacked by the "Time Eaters," a creature that eats time, forcing Shiki and his friends to quickly escape. Homura and Wise open the way, and Shiki and his friends fly through the sky using their Ether Gear, which controls gravity. It was a memorable scene, with the Sister blushing as she gazes at Shiki's profile.
Scene in which Wise's famous line is cut
Shiki and his friends arrive in the virtual world of Digitalis to bring Hermit back to Edens Zero, where they find themselves fighting a cheetah named Jamirov. Jamirov appears invincible, but Hermit manages to hack him and reprogram him, defeating him. Wise then tells Hermit with a serious look on his face, "There are people who see into the hearts of humans too. I..." before disappearing from the virtual world. Apparently, Hermit was banned because he used cheats, but when Shiki and Rebecca saw Wise disappear in an attempt to look cool, they laughed out loud, calling him "so lame."
The Scene Where Hermit Opens Up
Hermit, who had been betrayed by people he trusted in the past and had since stopped trusting humans, was completely closed off when Rebecca met him. She somehow managed to bring him back from Digitalis and Rebecca tried to persuade him to open up, but Hermit still refused. However, Shiki sees through her heart, and when he finally asks, "What do you want to do?", Hermit answers with tears in her eyes, "I want to be friends." Hermit had been mostly expressionless up until this point, but this moment marks her as a more expressive young woman.
Scene in which Pino talks about her dream
Shiki and Wise eat hamburgers in the kitchen inside Edens Zero. The two devour the hamburgers, raving about how delicious they are. Meanwhile, Pino is drinking some energy jelly. Shiki offers to share his hamburger with Pino, but Pino refuses, citing his inability to sense taste. Upon hearing this, Shiki tearfully begs Wise to let Pino taste it too. However, Pino refuses and stands up, expressing his dream of eating it when he becomes human.
Scene Revealing Witch's True Face
Witch's true face, shrouded in mystery, is revealed in Volume 6 of the manga. A small cosplay competition breaks out, and everyone decides to dress up in cosplay. Witch is wearing a wizard's staff and gear. Behind her is a nun in a nurse's uniform. When the companions see her true face for the first time, they all unanimously declare her beautiful! Not only the men, but the female characters too are captivated by her appearance.
Scene of Valkyrie unleashing her ultimate move
When a large number of monsters called ore lifeforms appear in the Underground Labor District, Valkyrie unleashes her opening special move to allow the residents to escape. While the name of the move is only listed as "Odin Strike," when the same move is used by Pyra, it is revealed to be her "ultimate move." She fires countless swords made of Ether Gear forward to intercept the enemy. She attracts and destroys any enemies she misses while protecting the residents. However, Valkyrie's left arm and head are severely damaged in the battle, rendering her inoperable.
The scene where Pyra asks her mother to cut ties with her
Pyra declares her disownment of her mother, the Red Lady, who is also the one responsible for Valkyrie's murder, after being brought before her. After being defeated by Shiki, the Red Lady was brought to the underground labor district and began begging for her life in front of Pyra and the residents who had exploited her. Pyra bows her head and thanks the Red Lady for giving birth to her, but ultimately tells her to never have anything to do with her again. Since the Red Lady was an incorrigible villain, many may feel relieved when they see the consequences that await Pyra's refusal to forgive her.
Scene in which Sister and Witch mourn Valkyrie's death
Shiki and his friends return to Edens Zero, leaving Valkyrie at the Sun Jewel as a symbol of hope for those living in the Underground Labor District. However, Sister is furious at them for not bringing her back. Even after hearing her friends' opinion that "Valkyrie is dead," Sister leaves the room, seemingly unable to accept it. Later, while alone on deck, Witch arrives. Sister turns to Witch, who is calmly speaking, and is about to say, "You're so calm," but when she turns around, she sees Witch crying. Unlike Hermit, who was emotional and in tears, the two managed to hold back their tears in front of everyone, but when they were alone on the empty deck, they embraced each other and cried, mourning Valkyrie's death.
Edens Zero Famous Scenes Summary
So far, we've introduced some of the best scenes from Edens Zero. The battle with Draken begins after this, but this time we've covered the best scenes leading up to the gathering of the Four Radiant Stars of the Demon King. Personally, I wanted to share more about Pino's story, but I'll refrain from doing so because it would be too much of a Pino story (lol). Which character's episode did you like best?
